Underrated. Not as good as Jon Stewart, being being even a passable comedian is a hell of a thing.
iPads
Underrated. Not as good as Jon Stewart, being being even a passable comedian is a hell of a thing.
iPads
iPads are Overrated. It attempts to create a middle between mobiles and laptops and reveals its own extraneousness.
Push-start ignitions.
Overrated, a ‘feature’ that existed on 1950s Landrovers isn’t all that.
Bacon
Underrated, if that’s even possible. There’s so much you can do with bacon. So yummy.
Banana Slugs
Banana Slugs: Underrated (from a certain point of view)
Nobody really thinks about them but they are HORROR INCARNATE shudder
The Eurovision Song Contest
As a Yank, I never see the show, which MAY be highly entertaining to watch. But I can see all the songs that won, and I’ve only heard of 2 of them!
So, definitely overrated.
Starbucks coffee
Overrated
Catering to a spoiled public with overpriced coffee in infinite varieties.
World War II
Underrated.
Hovercraft.
Over-rated. While I don’t think it is too over-rated, it’s closer to that than under-rated. It was big, but there were other world wars even before the 20th century.
Mine:
Microsoft
Uh, we got simulposted, but I think mine counts since you didn’t explain why.
Sorry. I’ve been involved with a Pittsburgh group trying to get a permanent monument erected (none currently exists here). Didn’t want to rant.
**Microsoft **is in play…
Underrated. At least when it comes to Windows Phone.
Next up: Same sex marriage
Overrated
3% of population is gay. Maybe a quarter of gay people will actually get married. Half of those will divorce, alot of tsuris for not much.
Hilary Clinton
Underrated.
She generates a lot of irrational hate, and is certainly flawed in many ways, but she’s also one of the most successful and accomplished female politicians we’ve ever had. For the most part, the hate is undeserved.
French toast.
Underrated. Yummy when topped with fruit and cream.
Paris
Definitely overrated. When did they last have a new product that went anywhere? Meanwhile, they coast along by producing new versions of their old incumbent products - Windows and the Office suite - that are sometimes upgrades, and sometimes not. (Does anyone really prefer Windows 8 to Windows 7, for instance?) And how would you be any less effective if you used the 2003 version of the Office suite rather than the current one?
Speaking as a reluctant Francophile… it definitely isn’t OVERrated. To borrow Iron Man’s quote about Captain America, Paris “kind of lives up to the legend.”
I’d like to say neither over nor under, but if I had to pick one? Underrated. Precisely because so many people are prepared to be disapointed by Paris… but they rarely are.
Box Stores
Underrated, from an architectural perspective. Even the lowest form of building has creative (see SITE’s Best showroom stores) and programmatic (box-turned-library in Texas) potential.
The English language.
Underrated, it’s conquering the other world’s languages and may be the World Language in the foreseeable future.
The World Series
Way overrated, but that is how I feel about all baseball. Shut the MLB down and start focusing efforts on being good(well, better I mean) at soccer.
