I’m flying in on the afternoon/evening of the 16th so I probably wouldn’t be able to make that. The 17th is a real possibility for me; I assume that weekdays are probably out for most people (and besides, I plan to be hiking if I can figure out my transportation issues) and I’ll probably be heading down to Portland on the 22nd or 23rd.

My plan (such as it is–I’m not quite ready for world domination yet) is to likely be in Portland 23-24 August, flying out on the morning of the 25th. Other than an evening kayaking trip around Ross Island and lunch at Higgins I have no fixed plans, so I could be up for something in Portland on those dates as long as it is accessible from the MAX.

Tentative. It’s more than a 200-mile round trip for me. But Monday is a telecommuting day.
So, based on the paucity of responses and time limits, I believe I’m going to bump Portland from my itinerary so as to maximize my backpacking in Olympic and exploring Seattle. (I may head back up during ski season; anybody do cross country?) So, Seattle and surroundings–17, 23, 24?
