I am new to this, but I see no evidence that there are any Pacific Northwest people here. Am I wrong? (i hope) Please weigh in with your suggestions for a meeting in this area of the world if you are interested. I live in Bellingham. And, WE ROCK! Or at least, we grow mold on the rocks. And frogs. And rain forests- and, well if you are here, you know.
I’m down in Olympia–the wacky capital of our fine state. There was a thread a few weeks ago
about NW Dopers and it got fairly long–so we so exist. I exist anyway, you may all be figments
of my imagination.
Can Northern California play, too? I promise not to mention my actual whereabouts, which is around Redding California. Just how far North is the Northwest???
There is a post in “General Questions” asking “What the heck is the Portland Trail Blazers’ team logo about?” Do any of you Pacific Northwest type folks know?
Is this about Puget sound or NW? In Eugene (no, not a hippie). I know there are some other Oregon people. Redding counts, 'cuz it aint California, is it, really?
Damn, and just think, I was missing out on ou guys when I was living in Tacoma, WA! I left Jan 99. I can’t say I miss the rain, but I wish I would’ve been in on a PNW meeting or two before I left!
So when will you be here, why in the world are you shooting a film in B’ham (I love this town, but don’t know why you would want to film here) and maybe at least the Mt. Vernon doper can come up and we can all get together!
My grandmother was of the Robertson clan, and my grandfather was of the Henderson clan.
My mom diluted my bloodline by marrying a Fin-my dad’s parents emigrated from Finland before he was born. I adore my father, but my mom’s parents were much more present in my life, so I identify completely with my Scottish heritage and very little with the Fin side.
I have never been to Enumclaw, but tell me the details and I will certainly try to make it this year! The Highland games in our area are tommorow.
Thanks for your input-I assume you must also be Scottish? What clan are you from?
