Paradise Hotel Finale

Thank God I can reclaim my life now.

That was a pretty lame “ultimate prize.” At least up it to a solid $1 million, FOX. Although, I shouldn’t have expected anything less from this show.

I don’t know what to make of Charla’s decision. It looks greedy but she is a waitress and Dave is probably successful. I am just mad because I bet Toni thinks she convinced Charla but I bet she had her own reasons. Dave did sort of fuck things up for the past few weeks though. And you just know that Dave will never hold it against her since he is so in love with her.

The “jury” - God, if I ever wanted to kill somebody on one of these shows, it would be Toni. What a delusional freak. Amy is a close second with her eye-rolling. Thankfully she looks like shit - the best revenge for a bitch like her.

Ahh, what a summer. But I can go my entire life without seeing the following clips:

  1. Amy’s voice cracking “Are you fucking kidding me” when Keith boots Zack

  2. Scott and Holly kissing in the pool

  3. “Yahtzee! game on!”

I don’t know what life will be like any more without this show.

Toni (or Bug-Eyed Toni, as she has become known) is truly one of the more pathetic characters in TV history. She holds the dubious distinction of being on three different reality shows:
Love Cruise, Blind Date and now, Paradise Hotel.

I was rooting for Dave and Charla until Dave started to lose his grip on sanity. Now, I think it’s hilarious that everyone in his alliance–except Dave himself–walked away with prize money! Bwah!

But that jury! What a pack of hypocrites! They would have been singing a different tune if four of THEM were sitting in the winning chairs. Then they would have to account for everything THEY did.

Jealous, immature hypocrites. I hate them all–especially Amy, Zack and Toni!

Oh, Scott and Holly? Guess what guys–Dave lies. This can’t be the first you’ve heard of it. You lost–get over it and go home.

Okay, no one really likes Keith (lesser of two evils and all), but they were all about going to Vegas with him when he offered.

What will I do with myself now that it’s all over? ::sniff:: :frowning:

BTW I forgot to mention: I really think Charla did Dave wrong. There is no way she would have got as far in the game as she did without Dave. To not give him a share really sucked. Then again, he took abuse throughout the the game, so why should the end be any different?

First let me get over the shame of admitting I watched this show…
Okay. I thought it was selfish of Charla to keep the money. Especially when she tried to justify it by saying she had worked so hard for it. How, exactly? Dave certainly worked hard for her sake, incurring the wrath and hatred of everyone else in the process. Doesn’t he deserve some kind of reward for being a sneaky, manipulative bitch?

I totally called Keith giving half the money to Tara. Keith’s a good guy and seems to genuinely care for her.

Amy was a mean spirited dimwitted B&*#, IMO. Although, I absolutely love and cracked up when Keith said into the camera that “it feels as though I kicked Zack out twice” (or whatever it was).

Eh, I didn’t mind.

That was the single most abused and retarded phrase uttered on the show. Toni is indeed a delusional bitch who thinks her shit don’t smell.

The only thing I wish is that Dave would have given what he received right back to her. IIRC, Keith did and she left him alone, Dave however was trying to be all nice to her.

Just wait until part two…
gallows fodder

It was sort of selfish (okay, totally), but if I was in her position I’m not so sure that I would have given Dave the money either. It is a lot of money and he almost cost her the entire amount. If I were her, I’d have shared, but I wasn’t surprised that she kept it. Granted I’m conflicted because I feel as though I’m justifying her decision, even though I don’t necessarily agree with it…In other words, ignore my opinion about the matter…

What did annoy me was how she seemed to be flip-flopping when talking to him about the money. Just tell him you are keeping it and be done with it.

Nutty Bunny

I totally agree with you here, in fact I think it’s even sadder because they weren’t angels themselves. They were all whiny jealous babies, IMO.

I agree, and I’m wondering how Zack and Amy can be together, since Zack sort of went after anything that found his assholery remotely attractive. His attitude was just so foul, he thought he was God’s gift and I when he was whining in the begining about how no one wanted to “get to know” him, I just thought “it’s 'cause your an retarded syphilitic ego-driven pretentious asshole”. I mean, come on, think about it dude-if no one is trying to get to know your inner 'tard, maybe it’s because your a piece of shit.

Yeah I agree.
It’s funny because Fox’s paradise board is filled with people who agree with this opinion-but it also has a few people there who seem to stick up for Amy, Zack, and the rest of the herd of monosyllabic morons.

That should be “and I found it funny, when he was whining”.

Don’t know where the rest of my sentence went…

The thing that’s so weird about Amy and Zack’s “true love” is that when he picked Amy to room with in the first round, he said that he was (paraphrasing) hoping to get someone better looking.

I thought she was testing him… I can’t remember what was said exactly, but I got the feeling that Dave was not being honest with her even at the very end, and was just saying what she wanted to hear. I think if Dave had been up front with her, she would have given him the money. Okay, so maybe I don’t fault her too much for being selfish…still, she should give him something for his trouble.

You know, you might be right, because I had the vaguest feeling that she hadn’t quite made up her mind yet. I agree, that if Dave had been up front, she would have given the money over.

Well, with Dave, I suppose money wasn’t the only thing on the table that Charla could have given him…

I only watched about a third of the episodes, but it seemed to me that Dave was sneakier and more manipulative than he had to be but – what’s worse – he was really terrible at hiding it. ANyway, I think it was poor of Charla to not give Dave the money after weeks and weeks of surviving because he was willing to take bullets for her – especially since she wouldn’t even sleep with him, either.

I’m a bit torn on this. On one hand Dave did work hard to keep both of them in the game for a long time, but he basically completely blew it at the end, Scott and Holly hated Keith alot more before Dave went crazy with the lies and backstabbing the last couple episodes and he basically had it in the bag till then, and if she had been stuck with him at the final vote she wouldn’t have gotten a cent. I don’t know why the jealous bitches that tried to influence Charla at the end didn’t just tell her “you only won because you ended up paired with Keith and nobody wanted Dave to win” instead of all the “you deserve it” bs she couldn’t possibly buy after all the crap they gave her.

  1. Wasn’t this show on for like two years?

  2. After watching an episode, I gotta tell you, I’m pretty sure the whole shebang was done from a script. They were acting. It seemed very differenmt from other reality shows.

No, I don’t think they were acting at all. But I think the show was pretty much a scam. Next to that paintball show “Manhunt” I think Paradise hotel has to take the cake for producer involvement. The 4 (or 3) winners would never have made it nearly as far as they did if the producers didn’t take their side. Look at all of the “big” twists towards the end. Show me ONE that didn’t end up helping the Barbies. If the barbies weren’t so popular, and if they didn’t cause so much controversy on the show, they would have been booted out long ago. They made good TV.

Also, I’m ashamed of Charla for keeping the money. I know Dave “changed” from the person she thought she knew, and he almost cost her the money. But seriously, I thought she was a nice giving person. I guess I was wrong. I never doubted for one second that Keith would give Tara the money. And sending the group to Vegas was a lot like him.

Who else thinks Keith and Tara are the second serious romance created on this show?

And the only one that you could stand to live in the same zip code as?

I agree withprisoner6655321. It certainly wasn’t scripted, but all the twists where meant to drive the show in the direction the producers wanted, which happened to match with what the fans wanted to see. To be fair though the foursome WAS kicking out everyone else before all the crazy twists started, and the first one was bringing all the old guests back which wasn’t in their favor at all.

Ya know…this show has a terrific example of why girls don’t like “nice” guys. Dave is a “nice” guy. He’s sensitive and talks about his feelings a lot and compliments Charla often, etc. But he’s also smarmy, smothering, quick to get offended if Charla doesn’t respond exactly as he’d like her to…and not to mention unskillfully manipulative. He was obsessed with Charla and seemingly completely oblivious to the fact that bringing up his feelings all the time was making her very uncomfortable. She herself described him as being very high-maintenance, and he is. More than that, his desperation was suffocatingly palpable.

Now look at Keith. Keith really is a nice guy. He gave the girl he liked $125,000 to take care of her mom, for pete’s sake. He was affectionate with Tara and protective of her, and held his tongue when people were acting like jackasses around him. But he didn’t hang all over Tara, praise her every movement, or otherwise smarm on her. He was cool…he gave her space. Now this is a nice guy. And, unlike Dave, I doubt he’d identify himself as a Nice Guy.

So, yay! The show isn’t completely without value! It teaches us something about Life.

Oh My! More people who admit to watching this crazy show??
LOL. We actually had a party last night to celebrate the end, complete with Barbie party favors!

I have to agree that I think Charla was still deciding what to do during her chat with Dave. I definitely think he didn’t get any money because of his own reaction to her questioning. I think my friend summed it up pretty well though… Dave spent the whole show trying to get screwed by Charla…last night he got his wish!

And I have said for weeks now that the producers are manipulating the show in favor of the Barbies. It was SOOO obvious.

What a cheap show though. I guess they probably had to spend the rest of the money buying all that alcohol the contestants were drinking.

Thank goodness its finally over. And I’m not watching Joe Millionaire again. NO. Absolutely Not. No No NO.

Supposedly on Dave’s fansite Dave is supposed to make some mystery statement or whatever. At Paradise Hotel’s Message board there is some speculation that Charla actually gave him the money.

I seriously doubt it and visiting that MB seriously makes me glad that I’m a doper.

They showed an interview of her last night right after the finale on the news and she said she definitely planned on giving Dave some of the money, she just wasn’t ready to give him the whole 125k.
