We went to Cheddars for my sister in law’s birthday dinner and I am stuffed. Tomorrow I get to go to Rose Hill Seafood for lunch because my librarian friend is craving oysters.

I was looking for a good Eddie Izzard clip to put up for those who have yet to be converted but after a joyous hour on youtube I can’t pick just one so you’ll all have to go and look yourselves.

{{{{HUGS}}}} to all in need; MBG, thinking of you. Have you ever tried yoga and/or meditation? Sometimes meditation can help, even really simple forms like breathing exercises. Just a thought, in addition to all the other suggestions (which I also recommend!).
All the talk and discussion of knee replacement has gotten me to moving … well, as much as I can move, these days. I need to see my doctor and probably an ortho. Both of my knees are now so bad that I can barely walk. 
I’m up to 4 alleve’s a day and they’re still in tremendous pain. I think the cartilidge is pretty near gone, unfortunately. Ah well, I am calling tomorrow to make an appointment, so thanks all for giving me the push needed.
I look forward to the day that my mother is mature enough not to pick fights with me. I try not to respond, but sometimes it’s really hard.

I’ve rested, had some Stouffers Lasagna and some seedless watermelon, but I really need a drink. Maybe when I go out Friday, I’ll pick up a bottle of something to stash in the cupboard.

Yeah, Tel, sometimes moms can be challenging. I’ve been waiting almost 50 years :eek: for my mom to get that mature. :eek: :eek: It’s getting better, but only mildly.

Eddie Izzard is a great comedian, but I think you’re all missing out on the comic wonderfulness that is Mitch Benn - he’s been around for quite a while, used to be the compere in the cabaret tent at Glastonbury which is where I first saw him many years ago. That was even before I went to Glasters with 'im indoors, that’s how long ago it was!
Anyhoo, Mr Benn is arguably funnier than anybody else on the planet. So there.
So last night was beerverage night and we started off with a bit of Bateman’s Salem Porter, followed by a bit of Brain’s SA before hometime.
And the best news? No poorly head today! And it’s Thursday. Well, it’s my Friday 'cos we’re finishing for easter today. Even better news? We don’t come back to work until next Thursday 'cos the university’s closed until then. That should give me plenty of time to get my last uni paper written.

Most of the team’s out today; I’m aloooooone in my office. Tomorrow I go to meet De Relatives, who are in Zurich now, yay! S-boss is still mullin’ over some of my requests but he’s said they actually seem perfectly logical and reasonable… he’s just not used to people being straightforward or something. I’m shocking, shocking I tell you!
When I came over, I asked about the possibility of getting an apartment in France (where contracts are in, well, French, my French isn’t good but my spoken German is nonexistent), which would mean a commuter work permit rather than a resident work permit, and was told I couldn’t. This time the response was along the lines of “for when do you need the new work permit?” 
I’m also getting calls from the headhunters but since I told G and S that if we could get this stuff solved I’d stay, then if we can get it solved I’ll stay. One of the offers sounded real interesting, though, I’d get to be boss and have my consultants hate me 
I’ve never been the boss officially.
PS: y’all have fun and all without me, I don’t imagine I’ll be around much for a week.

I expected the snow – it was forecast. Likewise the moderately sub-zero temperatures. I didn’t like it, but I expected it. What I didn’t expect was the wind chill (considerably sub-zero) and the snow actually staying on the ground! There it is, right outside, blanketing pretty much everything in sight, making everything slippery, and it’s not. going. away. Hey, if anyone sees spring, could you please tell it to stop dicking around? This is a lousy April Fools joke, and anyway, it’s late. No one likes a wise-ass season with a bad sense of timing.
Bobbio - KITTEEZ! KittykittykittykittykittyKITTY. They’re cute and adorable an eminently squee-worthy. It’s a pity about the one kitty, though. We haven’t had baby kitties around the house in a couple of years and we kinda miss 'em. Not enough to add another to the menagerie, mind you. Four is enough.
Mika - Don’t bury yourself too deep in all that work. I’ve known people who couldn’t find their way out again, just disappeared into a stack of reports, never to be heard from again.

We were greeted at the door by the Easter Bunny here at work today! Sure made me smile. And kolaches and colored Easter eggs for breakfast. What a way to start the day!
This place is dead! Almost everyone took today off, too, as well as our holiday tomorrow. I’ll probably sneak out early today!
It’s chilly out, too. That cold front made it all the way down here! About 57 this morning, with a high of 70°F. They say this weekend it will be a low of 38° and a high of 60°! Bring back my spring, dammit!
So I have nothing to do, and nobody to give me work. I guess I’ll look for something to do… in a little bit! I’ve got some surfin’ to do.

Ok, I checked my email and I do have pics of the weird flowers as well as the critters, so probably sometime tomorrow I’ll post pics for everybody. Groucho, mom’s biiiiiiiig cat has decided I am worthy of his presence. Thus I cannot sit down without a lapful of Groucho appearing. I’m Groucho free right now only because it’s nap time. He also likes to butt heads. That cat has one hard head too! It hurts when he takes that big head and butts my forehead! My youngest niece taught him that as a kitten.
Ok off to do some other stuff then in a bit get all gussied up for the big interview!
