Señor Mr. Bus Guy, we will have none of that sarcasting yay-ing from you! You’ll go to the doctor and you will tell her all about you and you will feel better!!! Or else.
But really, hope you feel right soon. Keep stopping by, even if it’s just to say bleh. Have we hugged you enough yet? Didn’t think so. Hugs.
Wow, Drae, that sounds like lots of drama. Boo on the sinus infection and doggie destruction stuff. Hope roomie is on her way to feeling well. Sounds like the temp interview went well. Maybe they’ll call you in tomorrow? I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I got into my current line of business via temping. They assigned me to what sounded like a boring job at the state agency I’ve now been at for almost 17 years. Thought about it earlier this week: I was bored in March of 1991. And probably not even for the whole month. I started on a Friday the 13th (which just about no one else in state government can say, since normal people start on Mondays). I’m in my 5th or 6th position with the same agency (I lost count somewhere back there; also, it’s sort of hard to tell what counted as a job and what didn’t). Anyhoo…good luck with the job stuff.
Glad the interview went well, swampy. That really sounds like a great opportunity. You listed us all as references, right?
silenus, that tea sounds like it was yummy. (What, no beer?)
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for my friend’s mom. I was in shock most of the day because of it. We’d been talking a lot about what her mom was going through and her family’s reaction. The doctor had told her she probably had a couple months left, but that turned out to be a couple of weeks. Fortunately, they were able to do lots of the planning and organizational stuff while my friend was there the last few days. In fact, my friend finished off the last major financial item on the list on the way to the hospital yesterday. She’s thinking that her mom may have decided that since everything was in order, she’d had enough. Still, it’s painful. I’m grateful that we have a good support system at work and she has good support in her family.
On the much brighter side, when I got home from church I had a voicemail from my oldest college friends. They’re going to be in Columbus early next week! I haven’t seen them in a couple years, so it’ll be fun. It will also give me a good excuse to leave work on time (or maybe even… …EARLY).

Guess I should consider getting to bed. The one downside of going to church on Holy Thursday is that I get home late and then I’m way awake. But it wouldn’t feel like Easter if I didn’t go…(yes, I’m a church geek - bet you didn’t know we had those).
Hugs to all…
