Is it really fair to pick on Barron? I don’t like Trump, but I don’t see why attacking a minor is okay. I wasn’t okay with the Obama daughters being picked on by the media. Chelsea Clinton was bullied by the media the entire time Bill was POTUS.

One of the worst things about these times is that otherwise normal people are beginning to give in to violent ideation as a reaction to the violent actions they see around them, and sometimes give voice to it.

Just kidding. Violent ideation is bad, and has to be kept in check, but it hardly compares to the horrible, racist, xenophobic, narcissistic malice (and, face it, the amazing cowardly weakness that sees women and children refugees as a threat) that, finding itself with near-unlimited power, creates and enacts real violence against those with no power to resist.

So, it’s bad to wish harm upon an innocent, privileged and ridiculously-protected child (or Barron, for those who assumed I was speaking of Scott Pruitt), but if that’s where your concern lies, as opposed ton the children who have been taken, caged, maltreated, drugged without medical advice or supervision, and lost, your moral compass is broken or missing. If Peter Fonda is bad for wishing a thing on one person, what shall we think of the people who have conspired to do it to thousands?

Never mind. I forgot that most of these people have no problem being hypocrites, even in their own pseudochristianity.

Great post. And if the first time you were outraged over this whole mess was when some old fart actor said something mean about the Trump kid, then fuck you and fuck everything about you.

Though Peter Fonda’s outrage is understandable, his method of expressing it was outrageous and would probably have a far different result than he was hoping for in the moment.

His SISTER, whose name when uttered causes many people to spit on the ground (for things she did 50 years ago), has more relevance today than he does. So yes, really lousy idea, but does it matter?
