Glad that I wasn’t placed on the Don’t Call list. Had you folks wanted to gather, I’d have been absent owing to rental lift equipment failure that caused a normal 2 hour hot service cable change to morph into an all day adventure. I didn’t finish until 8 PM. :grr:
I’m back in Phila next week, and should be able to play.
It’s been over a month since we’ve last gotten together and I think it’s about time we try to get together again. I would be up for this Friday (I know it’s a little short notice) if anyone wants to get together. I’d say we could put it off until next Friday, but I’m going to the White Stripes concert that night, so I wouldn’t have the time to do it.
Though, if y’all wanted to get together next Thursday night, I’d be up for that as well. I know we have several people new to the area, so I’m hoping they’ll be able to join us as well.
Hi, local Dopers.
I’m in Collingswood, NJ (just across the river) and though I’ve been here* a while, I’ve never ventured out to a Doper event.
(Yes, I’m a bit shy with people I’ve not met. )
Anyway, I’m sure I’d enjoy meeting up with you all. So, if you think you’d like another new face…I’m available this Friday and perhaps next Thursday. (The “plus” side of being newly underemployed.)
(Whew - that wasn’t as hard as I thought. Now if I can just get myself to hit “Submit”…)
:holds breath and … :
Looks like it’s Friday then (sorry danceswithcats, you’ve been out-voted.)
As a suggestion for a new place, I found Finnigan’s Wake with an online search for Irish restaurants in Philly. This place is located at 3rd & Spring Garden and they claim to have ample parking and nearby public transportation. Any thoughts?
Works for me. I’ll try to remember to take the train in tomorrow so I can have more time before I have to drive. Want to meet me at my building (31st & Market) around 5ish?
