My office is having a Pi Day potluck (postponed to 3/16 due to weather). I’d like to bring a pie, but am feeling uninspired about the particular variety. What kind of pie do you like? Bonus points for pies that can be made with easily sourced ingredients in the Eastern US in March.
In general, my favorite pies are apple and cherry, and I will happily eat rather a lot of pumpkin pie around the holidays, but none of those seem right for March.

I made a cherry pie Friday. It was just canned filling and a couple of Marie Callenders crusts, but Mrs. L.A. said it was very good. My favourite pie is pecan pie, and I make a good one. I also like apple pie, but it has to be good apple pie. Peach pies are nice, too.
Make a meat pie. Savory pies beat out sweet pies almost any day, IMO.
I am making a Kentucky Derby Pie (aka Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie). Super easy and so good, although very rich. A couple of other easy pies that I make frequently are Lemon Chess Pie and Key Lime Pie. (Protip: Don’t juice your own key limes unless you have a lot patience and free time. Buy Nellie and Joe’s Key Lime Juice instead.)
Be sure to play the Pi Song when you have pie on pi day!

Yeah, I like a warm ‘cherry pie’. Know what I mean?

A cherry pie that is of a greater temperature than the norm.
Kind of a dumb statement you made, really. I can’t imagine what would warrant you to say that in the first place.

(Proving the hypothesis that if you add ‘Know what I mean?’ to any statement, people will think it sounds dirty.)
Key lime pie all the way and juice your own limes! The flavour is better. A pox on bottled lime juice! And none of this graham cracker crust silliness either. Pastry crust! Or cherry pie with a nice slice of old cheddar.
Just make sure your pie is round, not squared. 
(I’m partial to a nice mince pie, myself. Or warm pecan pie smothered in butter or vanilla ice cream.)

I only ever eat meat pies, because I live in Australia and that’s what we do.
