Pick a fictional character and tell us how they vote.

I imagine Coach walking into the voting booth, forgetting what he is supposed to be there for, then walking back out saying something about not having to pee after all.

Superman is tough. Does he vote, and thusly appear to be endorsing a candidate? Or does he abstain, despite wanting to encourage folks to vote? Clark Kent of course is Democrat. He has issues with “illegal aliens” after all.

Oliver Queen? Democrat, easy. Hal Jordan? Republican, lapsed. Aquaman and Manhunter abstain (though J’onn might vote just for the “experience” of it.)

Eddard Stark votes Democrat. He’s always talking about climate change.

Ebeneezer Scrooge- Definitely a Wall Street Republican.

Big Bang Theory-
Penny is a Republican, being from Nebraska and probably in the NRA
Howard is a Democrat
Leonard votes Green
Sheldon doesn’t vote.

Any in an Almodóvar movie: “vote? what’s that?” The immense majority don’t even know where their ID is (required in Spain); those placed in Times Bygone live in an era with no vote (and most are underage anyway).

Dave Robicheau: democrat
Clete Purcel: would get drunk, forget why he was at the polling place, and beat the shit out of everybody present.
Jason Bourne: would vote 17 times under different identities, then kill the winner.

Vote? Conan the Barbarian takes over the country via revolution and declares himself king.

Bruce Wayne is sometimes depicted as a civic leader (to make Gotham City better by non-beating-uppy methods), and sometimes as a useless fop (to better hide the secret identity). In the former case, he’d make a show of voting; in the latter case, he’d make a show of not bothering.

I know this thread is about the characters, not the actors, but I still have to share this story. I recently saw Kelsey Grammer interviewed by Bill O’Reilly. Kelsey and John Ratzenberger are hard core conservatives. He said they had some rousing chats with uber-liberals Woody Harrelson and Ted Danson on the set. That would have been fun to watch!

I think you just stumbled onto it: Superman doesn’t vote, because it would amount to stuffing the ballot box after Clark Kent voted.

Stan Smith from **American Dad **would vote for Reagan and Jesus, in that order.

In Victorian terms probably a Palmerstonian Liberal for economic reasons but opposed to the Chartists and similar radicals.

Miss Havisham’s probably a High Tory.

Jack McCoy is not a character on SVU. He’s a character on the original L & W, which at its worst was better than most episodes of the other two.

Robin is a naturalized US citizen. I assume that someone at INS lost a bet so we had to take her.

Superman clearly doesn’t vote, as he does so as Clark.

Nah, everyone else is pretty blue-collar in a blue state. (Well, Norm has a white-collar job, but he’s not his own boss.) They’re probably almost all Democrats. Maybe Sam and Frasier are Republicans–and Woody might be, he’s Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Book Bourne or film Bourne?

I think Kinsey Millhone is probably a Democrat.

Snake would be more on the anarchist side of Libertarianism, then.

Can’t tell if you’re joking, but C. Montgomery Burns is canonically a member of the Springfield Republican Party. So is “Rich Texan” (Yeeehaw!), Dr. Hibbert, Krusty, Sideshow Bob, Rainier “I am not Arnold” Wolfcastle, Fat Tony (I find that one hard to believe), the usual suspects like Flanders/Lovejoys, and Count Dracula.

Anti-Global warming.

Snake Plissken would just tell you where you can stuff your ballot.

Wolverine: Doesn’t have genuine identity documents, doesn’t vote (would vote in Canadian elections if he did)

Professor X: Votes for whichever candidate is most truthful (he knows)

I remember someone describing Callahan as somewhat close to libertarian. While he’d likely vote Republican, this quote from “Magnum Force” seem to show he could go either way.
**
Lieutenant Briggs**: You’re a good cop, Harry. You had a chance to join my team, but you decided to stick with the system.
Harry Callahan: Briggs, I hate the goddamn system! But until someone comes along with changes that make sense, I’ll stick with it.

Ned Flanders is a Christian Democrat. While not a socialist per se, he is the personification of “Love Thy Neighbor” and fully believes that we as a society need to do right by the underprivileged.

Dana Scully, Republican. Fox Mulder, Democrat.

Here’s a tough one: anyone want to take a guess on Solid Snake? He feels like he was used and abandoned by the government, but surely his strong feelings about peace and nuclear non-proliferation must account for something?
