Hey there, fellow pimps, I have discovered a good strategy for attacks. I have found I almost always have the most success when launching attacks when I target pimps with many more thugs than I have. The logic is that if pimp X has many more thugs than I, but a similar net worth, (s)he is probably skimping on guns. And since quality guns are so much more important than number of thugs, I usually come out on top!
A friend of mine just got a bonus $10000 when one of his hoes picked up Clinton.

I’ve found that if I keep my hoes at 75% happy when I’m playing the game they won’t leave. If I keep a ridiculous number of condoms(100hoes/20,000) condoms I can keep their payout at 5-10% If they are getting less happy, I buy more condoms. Mo money for me to spend on ak’s. I buy a few pistols/glocks at first so each thug is armed but buy AK’s whenever I get any cash.I set the payout to 99% when I leave and they usually stay put.
Some pimp cruised by my house and tried to jack my ride so I invaded his house to say “I don’t think so” and found out he had 518,000 just laying there for me. Sweet. I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.
Moral, if you attack someone, don’t leave all your cash just sitting there.
Okay, I’m sitting out this round of PW since the unstealable whore thing got really old really quick. But some tips I picked up last month (note: the programmers might have tweaked/removed these for sake of balance, so YMMV).
Scouting: The different areas don’t seem to make much difference for money/whores/thugs EXCEPT that some areas are “hot” for a while. For instance, you may be making an average of $1K/round (so if you scout for 5 rounds you make ~$5K), but if you find the “hot” area, you’ll make 2-3 times your average (e.g., a 5 round scouting expedition will get you ~$3K). These hot zones, as of last month, would last 4-5 scouting expeditions (regardless of how many turns they are), so if you find one, try doubling the number of turns for your next couple scouting expeditions. Note: This is completely independent of whore happiness.
Whore happiness: Don’t sweat it, much. You can go scouting with whore happiness at zero (as I have after getting my thugs wiped a few times), and your number of whores will stay pretty constant. Unlike in Redlite, PW whores don’t leave en masse when pissed. They’ll leave in numbers of 1-5 at a time, which is, happily, about the rate they come in. So, if you’re strapped for cash (or just don’t have the resources for happy hoes), scout w/ your payout at zero and you’ll rake in the cash. Obviously you won’t get any new hoes, but that’s okay. Note: If you don’t have condoms buy condoms! Not for happiness, but to keep your hoes from getting infected with diseases 20-50 at a time.
Crack: Once you have “enough” hoes - which is to say you’re getting paid about what you like - spend the second 40-50% of your rounds making crack (the first 50% should be used scouting). This will bring in a decent flow of cash, and you’ll also have a mountain of crack to keep your whores happy. Also, if you get wiped, there’s nothing like selling off 500K crackrocks to get you back in the game. Note: The last 10% of your turns should be used to attack. Unless you’re attacking somebody near the lower edge of your attack rating, you should thug up and AK up before you attack.
Unstealable hoes: This strat is pure cheese, but it’ll keep you in the game, so you might as well do it. PW is a game of excess: an excess of thugs will keep your hoes kinda happy, an excess of condoms and crack will keep them by yourside through thick and thin. When I had 1-2m condoms and 750K+ crack (or maybe it was 1+ mil, I forget), my ~2000 whores wouldn’t leave my side even when all my thugs were dead (my payout was also at 99, which may or may not have helped). Loyalty is a fine quality to have in a hoe.
Attacking people w/ unstealable hoes: If you find that the person who wiped out your thugs a day ago has hoes that don’t leave him, you still have an option. Kill 'em. It’s been my experience that most pimps don’t have much in the way of medicine, so if you want to hurt somebody, then infect his hoes w/ disease. It’s spiteful, it doesn’t benefit you, but damn it feels good.
And this concludes Pimpwar 101.
One more note. The “hot zone” thing also works for crack production. Made something like $2.5 mil dropping 50 rounds in one big crack producing orgy last game.

Scouting
There are definite differences, the higher payoffs are gone and each district does different stuff. The nightclub you can get alot of money from, urban ghetto you get more thugs and I think you get more hos from the wino section.
Attacking, I have had no success with attacking at all. The few I did win I got little money from:)
OK, I made the stupid mistake of attacking IceBergSlim (#4243) and he’s been whupping my ass ever since. He’s wiped me out about 3-4 times in the last two days.
Could someone (or EVERYONE) from the SD Alliance be so kind as to bring this bitch to his knees?? And leave him a note telling him exactly WHY he’s getting the shit kicked out of him?? I’d be forever grateful.

Okay. I had to sell a bunch of crack to get down to his range but I’ve sent him a message. I took out about 150 of his thugs and plan to raid him down to none if the game will let me as soon as I get the turns. He has a ton of AKs for anyone else considering attacking… it’s just that I have more. I told him specifically to lay off you and signed the message Straight Dope. I hope this helps. If not I can always pay another visit… and another… and another…
Might be cool if someone else stopped by too, just to drive the point home. He’s not in an alliance so I think he’ll get the idea pretty quick.
Ok, after a week of continual play I have suddenly realized that this game is pretty damn boring.
Scout, buy thugs and guns, scout, buy thugs and guns. There really isn’t much in the way of strategy or alternative courses of action.
I guess it must have just been the visceral thrill of saying “ho” a lot that kept me blind to this for five days.
Maybe it will be more exciting once you can steal whores, but I don’t think I’ll be around any longer. I should go scout my 200 turns, sell my thugs and guns and just leave myself unprotected with $1.2MM in the house.
