But nobody in this thread is publicly performing any body function. Most body functions, including menstruation, can’t actually be performed in cyberspace because, you know, bits not bodies.

Now, if you’re using “menstruation” as a dogwhistle term for “irrational emotional outburst gendered female because bitches-be-crazy-amirite-bro”, then sure, that’s something that can be performed in cyberspace.

But in that case, you’re being rather disingenuous when you claim that you “have nothing against menstruation”.

He’s got nothing against it, as long as women don’t menstruate in public. Hide them away during that time, and he’s fine with it.

Cybermenstruation is a very intensive and angry emotional online outburst by feminists at something they consider offensive.

How would you prefer they react when something offensive is said?

ETA: and what does that have to do with menstruation anyway?

Everyone chooses their own way to react to things they disagree with. I just comment on that reaction.

Because it’s something that only bloody twatrags complain about.

Back to our boy, LinusK. Somebody zinged him pretty good in his Cafe Society “Favorite Lyrics” thread. They posted the opening lines to I Am Woman.

So your colorful reaction is what, cyber jock itch?

It can be one of hundreds of male – specific terms. Male bashing has been popular since early 1990s and there are hundreds of male – specific insults in many threads of the Pit.

Red stands for strong anger. Blue stands for cyberspace and virtual world.

Listen, get help, brother. It’s out there.

Until then, shut the fuck up.

Menstruation is “performed” in public any time a menstruating woman leaves her house. What you appear to be arguing is that women must wear certain undergarments at certain times of their cycle.

I think what women wear should be up to them, even while menstruating.

OK. Yet for some reason many people made fun of Kiran Gandhi.

Many people do lots of things… so what? Do you take back your assertion that women should not menstruate in public?

It not my place to decide what anyone does – but I can post what I observe.

Cybershrinkage is a very intensive and angry emotional online outburst by MRA’s at something they consider offensive or a threat to their Bro-hood.

I no longer menstruate. So do I cybermenopause? That sounds rather calm and reflective, actually.

I’m a cybercrone.

The less I judge users who have not attacked me first, the better.

My point is that I have introduced a new term for a very intensive and angry emotional online outburst by feminists at something they consider offensive.

It is a metaphor.

And totally not judgmental or misogynistic AT ALL.

please stop waving and scratching that thing in public. None of us want to see that.

I’m afraid that you’re grossly overestimating the originality of your contribution to the lexicon.

A tsunami – sized wave of male bashing has swept the English Speaking World since early '90s. There are countless male–specific insults from any Greeting Card section to The Pit.

As a Libertarian I see only one way to fight offensive humor – by more offensive humor.
