Bleh… I ran out of stuff to do a couple hours ago. I wanna go home!
I think I’ll go check out McUne’s blog in the meantime.

Dang. I’m still here and it’s 5:45pm… close enough, I suppose (and tons better than 8:30pm, which was Friday’s joyous departure time). Boy, when they asked in the interview if I’d be willing to put in some overtime, they weren’t kidding.
Glad your folks are doing better, Soapy. And hey, support and good wishes is what the MMP is for (well, that and lots of TMI, but that’s another story…)
Taxi, I got a couple of spreadsheets here with your name on them if you’re bored. They’re wonderfully fun… nested IF functions and all.
And on that note, I’m OUTTA HERE! zooooooooooooooooooom
At this point I might! I have a couple coworkers who are *really *good at Excel so I just bug them when I have problems!
My mother’s complaining that she’s having problems with her hotmail… from her email:
I’m assuming “hotmail” means IE or Firefox, but I have no idea what she’s referring to when she says “People PC.” I know that’s their ISP, but where/how would she be putting addresses in to that?? I’m so confused. And too tired to try to decrypt her code language.
Home. Gotta go get gas before the price goes up. Then painting.
Back later to read.
Hugs.

Soapy yay for your parents gettin’ better and for non-flippin’ out daughter. Enjoy the sushi. I don’t get sushi often because ol’ y’all know who is oogied by it. Perhaps you should have a celebratory sangria or three tonight.
Dindin was BLTs and french fries. I baked rather than fried the french fries (would that make them french bakes?) so they were healthy. Tomorrow night’s dindin will be leftovers from last night’s dindin. I don’t mind leftovers, I just don’t want ‘em the day after. By waitin’ until tomorrow night, it’ll be like sump’n new again. There’s logic in that. Really.
So, ol’ y’all know who has left da cave. He’s got some stuff to get done at his place. Poor thing. Last night was spend the night night so I’ll live.
I want some chocolate milk.
Financial aid visit did not go well.
Going to talk to new grad student director in English depatemnt tomorrw.
He happens to be my thesis advisor.
Making friends with Jose right now.
Jose is a good friend.
I got MRIed, should get the results next week. Those things would make good background noise for a techno band. Time for beerverages!

Yay for improving parents, soapy! I love sushi.
Daughter will get home tomorrow evening. Her interview is late morning/early afternoon, and she needs to be back to the camp by 6 tomorrow evening. Here’s hoping she goes back with a signed contract.
I taught SIL how to mud the screw holes - with luck, he’ll have them all done tomorrow morning, and when I get home, I’ll do the seams and the corners. If all goes well, we may be able to paint in a couple of weeks. Still don’t know if we’ll have smooth or textured ceilings - depends upon how well I seam them.
We just had a killer storm come thru, but it seems to be abating.
We just had a call for a child struck by lightning. Given the marked lack of urgency after the crew got there, the kid will be OK. Headed to the horsepistol now…
Should we be worried about Pie? I just checked and she hasn’t been on the dope on July 16. (Or was it the 17th?) Anyway, I did email her earlier today but haven’t heard back.
I’m bored at work. Maybe I will read my book.
Sushi was yummers. We (husband, me young prince)had a salmon skin roll, a shrimp tempura roll and a Rainbow roll, sweet potato tempura roll and others.
Young princess had squid, octopus, and eel sushi and sashimi. She’s a funny kid.
mmmmm. Depending on mood sangria might be consumed. Anyone want to join me???
My child is lamenting the cruelty of life. I hope he doesn’t turn out to be a German 19th century philosopher. He’s not even German.
Sorry. Crying is rattling my brain.
Jeebus–and this happens in CANADA, land of the Nice? Down here they’d use baseball bats and threaten your mother!
I’m home from work and I’m grouchy. Work was hell–busy, busy, busy. Tomorrow is no better. Friday looks bad, too. Gah.
#2 son is no better. His spirits are good, but his throat is very raw. Not much appetite, either. He has shot up this summer, and now he looks like I lock up the fod or something: he’s 84 pounds at 4 foot 10 1/2 inches. He looks almost boney.
I think I need some happy pills. Anyone know where I can buy happiness? I don’t need a lot of it–one or two doses. I’m turning into a bitter old woman. Even I don’t like me these days…
Spaz I hope the financial aid stuff works out. Jose was a really good friend of mine last Saturday.
Soapy I’ll have a beerverage. Spaz is havin’ tequila. Ok, one beerverage then Ima go beddy bye cause tomorrow is work time after all.
Back from the dealership. Thank God we paid extra for that warranty. Total bill was $713.00 and I paid zip, nada, nothing out of my pocket.
Soapy, I’m glad to read your parents are doing better.
I’ve been worried about Pie too. She usually posts nearly everyday.
Spaz, I hope you can get the financial aid stuff squared away. You want we MMPers come in and kick some ass?
I’m not even hungry, but I guess I should start some dinner.
:: hugs for Spaz :: I hope your thesis advisor can help.
Taters, glad you found your ring! I kind of know how you feel - when I was younger, my mother let me borrow a sapphire ring her mother had given her for a wedding present. I was going to a party. Anyway, at the party, I was sitting around a table with some friends, and one of the girls asked me if she could see the ring. I took it off and handed it to her, then got distracted by something, then a few minutes later totally panicked when I realized it was no longer on my finger. Fortunately my friend asked me what was wrong, and when I hyperventilated I couldn’t find my ring she placidly handed it back to me. That was embarrassing.
I still feel like I’m coming down with a cold or something. Ick.
Where IS Pie?
Pagin’ CutiePie! Please pick up the white courtesy phone located in the lobby.
I had a beerverage. Now Ima go nitey nite.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
I need Pie!
Time for my bedtime, too.
Note to night shift: mop up the sticky wets spots, please.
Good thing I’m not part of the night crew. I see doggio is now trying to boss them around.
Finished the ceiling and 1 1/2 walls, then called it a day. I’ma clean up tomorrow and temporarily move my bed and dresser back in for the weekend company. It’s looking quite nice. I like the color. And I think the color I picked for the trim is going to look really nice, too.
Where is Pie? Let me know if she doesn’t write you back, McUne. I’m pretty sure I have her cell phone number.
Glad to hear the parents are doing better. Does Dad know Mom is in the hospital?
I think it must be my German literature background getting to him, LiLi (German literature…German philosophy…it’s almost the same thing). I’ll turn the volume down.
I think they’re having a special on happiness at Tar-jay, rigs.
Well…it’s past my bedtime again. (I’m sure you’re shocked.)
Back later…

Another page going out for our little CutiePie - and good thoughts that all is well with her.
Three down, two to go. I don’t have much more. Glad the parents are doing better, IvoryOne. Oh yeah, and good wishes being sent to FairyChatDaughter on her interview!
