:: joins Mika in the shower ::
Hey, he’s old, he’s gonna have a heart attack.
Oh well!
:: makes a note that there’s a shower in room 304 ::
'cause that better be where you two are. I hope the shower is nice and roomy…multiple shower heads and all that.
 :smack: :smack:
Wow, I’ve missed a lot while cleaning out my closet!
Cupcakes…
gooo…
showering…
That’s what get for going offline. Won’t make that mistake again!
Off soon to get fitted for contacts- hope they have ones I can wear!
Mmmmm… Free goo…
Homer, step away from the goo!
I be a cooking bear today. Down in the kitchen, chicken caciattor… cacchia… catch a tory is bubbling along in the giant slow cooker, and up here, I’ve got Unix IDs cooking along on servers that are even slower than the crockpot. Can’t do much until the servers finish processing, so I poke my head in here.
Heh! gotti said “poke”. Heh! That would have caused donkeybear to swoon on the spot.
Speakin’ of which, he’s another AWOL mumper.
I missed the feud today because I was bein’ all diligent and dutiful with work. Sometimes bein’ responsible just sucks! Oh well.
I’ve actually been home about three hours. I brought workstuff to do since tomorrow is one of my usual telecommute days and I decided to get a jump on things. So, havin’ done about three hours of work that was more or less for tomorrow, maybe tomorrow I will be done way early and can start my weekend early. Then again, with my luck, I’ll run into a buncha mumblemumblemumble voice apps.
Puggy it rained here too. But just water. No gooooooo.
The good news is the temp today is only in the low 90s. That counts as coolin’ off in July in south Jawja.
Glad CutiePie is ok. She still needs to report in though.
Soapy yay for kidfree time.
Have fun on the trip MBG.
Next Tuesday is my bday. Woo and Hoo. Anywho, I’m bein’ given a soiree on Sattiday. I found that out today. Ok, I have a pool, so bein’ invited to a pool party, even one in my honor, ain’t like a big deal, still, it’s nice to be thought of. Plus, the inviter is one f-aaaaaa-bu-lous cook and I have been promised good eats. And beerverages. Since it’s my party, ol’ y’all know who has to be the responsible one. I predict a very buzzed bear.
Ok, off to take stuff outta da fridge to warm up for supper. Think I’ll make some rice since there is gravy. Maybe even pop some frozen biskits in the oven. That’d be like I actually cooked.
Later Y’all!
ETA: doggio the doin’s tonight sound like a ton o’ fun!
No one’s posted since my last post. Either it was so brilliant y’all feel intimidated or I killded the MMP. Hmmmmmmmm…
Anywho… change in dindin plans. Ol’ y’all know who called. He has a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for of all things, MickeyD doublecheeseburgers. So, he’s gonna pick us up some. I told him not to get fries cause there’s chips here at da cave.
Thus, tomorrow, we’ll have leftovers. The chicken I have marinatin’ for what was to be tomorrow’s dindin, grilled chicken sallit, will be grilled on Sattiday mornin’ and be Sunday lunch instead.
I know how y’all all worry about what we eat.
We’re having kielbasa and cabbage, with cornbread muffins. Can you say downhome? I knew you could.
(I hate Mickey D’s! 'Cept the Egg McMuffin.)
Shepard’s pie checking in on a dark, rainy day.
Can we say comfort food?

Hi.
BUSYYYYYYY!!! Ack!
When get home will post proper content. Tho at this stage, not quite sure when that will be. Sniff.
That is all for now.
A few of us went out to an Indian buffet for a coworker’s birthday. I is stuffed. So probably a very light din-din for us. Maybe a salad. I think I should have more than 3 tomatoes ready on the grape tomato plant at home so they can go in a salad too.
We finally found this season’s forecast issue. It was going along waaaaaaay too smoothly. Something had to come up to make it go awry. And it did today. Fortunately, Boss is working on it; it’s not my problem so I’m feeling much better than usual during forecast season.
Apropos of nothing, mika, I wanted to tell you - I’m reading a (nonfiction) book, and there are people in it with both of our IRL first names! Just kinda cool.
Hi herbs and doggio!
Another quickie, as I am getting ready to take the puppies in to get their second set of shots and all that happy stuff.
Raining (still) and cold, a whopping 51 F out there. I have given up on summer arriving, another three weeks and it will be autumn here. le sigh.
I’ll get some photos up later, probably much later, in all honesty. A friend and I took a ride out to the end of the road at Anton Larsen Bay, and I took some photos of wild flower/other plants and the hills, it may be chilly, but the indigenous plant life is growing like, well, plants.
Gotta run, happy day before Firday everyone!
At least they’re cheap!
I keep asking Santa for faster servers, but so far, no joy. Maybe they just don’t like being worked on from home? Usually when things get bogged down, I start getting buried in instant messages from our front-line staff, all saying “Is the system down?” Oh well, on to mainframe mayhem. At least that works splendidly via remote.
Well, I’ve added to my collection of bruises. I started cleaning the gutters, and **FCD ** came home and finished the job. I do it from a ladder, but he climbs up on the roof. I don’t do roof-climbing. Nope. And he discovered that cheap sallit tongs make good gutter-cleaners. Silly me - I wore gloves and scooped out the gunk by hand.
While he was up there, he reattached the gutter in the back over our bedroom. We really need all new gutters - preferably with helmets - but that’s not going to happen for a bit. However, the repair was good enough for at least another season.
SIL didn’t mud today - big surprise. I’ve pretty much learned that if he says he’s going to do something, it doesn’t mean he’ll do it when he says he will. That’s why I mowed the yard yesterday - he was supposed to do it in the morning but didn’t. I knew it was going to rain, so I got out there and did it myself. He did the ditch, sorta (how can he miss those 18" tall weeds???) Last night, I showed him how to mud the screw holes and asked him to do them this morning so I could start on the seams and corners tonight. He left a note saying he’d mud tonight. Yeah, right. Daughter is coming home tonight - he’s not going to do anything. Anyone want a slightly used, slightly useless SIL??
Dunno what we’re going to do for supper. I don’t feel like cooking - I may order pizza. Or we’ll eat sammiches. Dunno.
Glad tomorrow is Firday. I’m ready for a weekend. I’m also ready for daughter to get a job - if they hire based on enthusiasm alone, she’s a shoe-in. She truly loves working with kids and she so wants to teach.
That’s all for now. swampy, how *subtle * of you to remind us of your upcoming b-day!
Dunno what I want to eat for supper but both the kielbasa and cabbage and the shepherd’s pie sound good. Mom usually cooks on weekdays, so I’ll get what she makes unless she does a wavelength thing and make something I’m craving.
Like chili. It is a slightly cool day.
But now I want kielbasa, saurkraut and pierogies… maybe I’ll call and suggest that. I think we have kielbasa, if not I can stop and pick some up.
Papa John’s is making supper for us. Daughter is enroute. I’m about to head out to pick up the pizza. Which means I should get out of these jammies and into real clothes.
Home. Need to clean up for brother and kids tomorrow. Glad Pie is OK, although I still think she needs to stop by.
MBG is in Ohio and not stopping by to visit me?

Back later with progress report.
GT
And easy! Just like me!
Just think how tragic it would be if someone should forget. We wouldn’t want such a fox paw to happen now would we?
I hate people. A woman was so unpleasant at work today–a family member no less. The pt had major, major surgery and the woman wanted to know what was taking so long. I am usually pretty good with anxious families, but not when they come out in full attack mode. Clue to all: don’t start with rude and belligerent-- you can always scale up (down?) to it. It was a sucky way to end a busy, hard shift.
I get to do it all again tomorrow–all by myself in the afternoon. Yay. (not)
