So. . . who was in 304 last night? :dubious:
::glaring around::
Lunch was sleeping off his all-nighter, so for once, it wasn’t him. So who was it?
'Fess up, people!
On preview: Soapy, it was you!! Who was with you this time? I want names!!

I wasn’t here, I was sound asleep!
Just because my name is slippery, don’t think I did it!!!
(sounds like fun, though… who in for tonight???)
Coupla poems for today:
*1. Raste khud hi tabahi ke nikale humne
Kar diya kisi doosre ke hawale dil humne
Hume maloom hai mohobbat kya cheez hai logo
Apne ghar phook ke dekhe hai ujale humne
*
(complimenting her “killing” beauty)
*2. To katil tera dil katil
Tere chehere pe ye kala til katil
Dekhna kabhi na aine me
Takra na jaye katil se katil
*
Hmm. That’s what Lunch said. :dubious:

:contemplating meaning behind poem:
Apparently, you’ll have to stand in line behind Meeks.
Morning, all. I’m here; more I cannot attest to.
I’ll be back later when (if) the brain starts functioning. Right now I’m just kind of zombifying, have been all morning. Who knows why.
Morning. ::Checks watch…yup…still morning::
We had a gooooooo drenching yesterday afternoon. Cooled things off nicely.
Made skettis for dinner last night using a batch of my frozen sauce and the meatballs I made with ground chicken which came out Teh Yum! They freeze gud too.
Glad pie is okay.
That’s about it for now.
Tupug
Haze, you’ll just never know, will ya?
Bleh. Around 5 this morning I woke up with chills, sweating - everything that normally spells fever. I drank some water, raced back under the covers where I spent the rest of the morning feeling the same until I fell back asleep. At 7;30, my alarm went off and I felt 100%.
Still do.
In 13 minutes I am off for an extended weekend with some friends (and the Wife) to Cleveland to take in some ball games, the Rock Hall, and assorted other debauchery.
In a gesture of almost unprecedentedness, I am not even taking the laptop. I am cut off from the world. Well, I’ll get e-mail on ye olde Blackberry, but that’s it.
Ta
and Ta.
Errrmmmmm, how cooling is goooooo??? Should you really be sharing this information with us? :dubious:

MBG, I know that feeling–that was a hot flash! Congratulations, you’re menopausal!
I feel much better this morning after sleeping like a dead rock… Hey, what’s all this gooooo laying around the place? Don’t MAKE me get my fluffy towel, young lady!
Whew, gonna be another busy day today, capped off by doing a bunch of cooking for the weekend, yay! Speaking of cooking, I checked out that link from the recipe blog, looks like coumarin is linked to nonpermanent liver damage in those who are especially susceptible. Upshot is use Ceylon cinnamon whenever possible and don’t use cassia cinnamon constantly for long periods of time in large amounts. The link establishes 2mg/kg of food for the okay level of coumarin, but then does not specify how much coumarin/gm is present in cassia cinnamon. I’m more  than anything else at this point. Isn’t coumarin a blood thinner or summat? Rigs?
Argh… I’m off!
That was Roo wondering about you and Lunch, Meeks.
Heffalump, Haze, like I can tell the difference. What am I, a mind reader?
Then again, Haze, you are trouble enough that you should be used to getting blamed for other people!
I brought the lemon-scented blueberry cupcakes in to work today, and they seem to be a big hit. (I don’t like fruit in my baked goods so I didn’t even try them before bringing them in! Thank goodness my coworkers aren’t picky!) I’ll shove some through the cd drive for anyone who wants one.
McUne, that’s bizarre about the cassia cinnamon. That’s what we always use. I’ve never heard that before. I think I’d want some more verification of it’s risks, and some idea of what amount is dangerous, beyond “[the dangerous] level has been exceeded, in some cases considerably, in cinnamon biscuits.” Well… that doesn’t exactly help the home cook, now does it? This sounds like the latest “OMG there’s something in food that - if eaten in wildly large amounts - might possibly cause some people some problems somewhere!!!1!!eleven!!!” Whatever.
You can shove one through right now, I is hungry!
:: sends Mika a cupcake ::
Num!
Yeah, like, has anybody ever seen Meeks and me in the same room at once? Maybe we’re the same person!
Oh, that wasn’t what you meant, then…?
I’ll stick by that interpretation, though… If I get too overtly flirty with **Meeks **she may decide to ignore me in retaliation, and on her last days here yet!
(Some things just shouldn’t be done in public :D)
I think I saw **Ivory **in line, too…
Oh, and **Haze **would never make thaht kind of remark, **Meeks **-- she’d keep me all for herself!
Right?
:crickets:
Right!?
Rigs, **Spaz **-- sorry you’re having problems
Glad **Pie **is OK!
Yuck, after that post, I want to go take a shower or something.
Good morning folks.
Those cupcakes look good, taxi.
I’m back at work, truly wishing I was home.
Because I missed the last two days thanks to my rig being in the shop, I decided to forego attending our commander’s change of command ceremony.
For the moment, it’s nice and quiet in here. I have a quite a bit of work that needs to be accomplished. Unfortunately, I don’t feel like doing it. No worries, though, I’ll be a good little employee and get it done.
