Still no word from the dealership. I sure hope they call soon. If I don’t hear anything by late afternoon, I guess I’ll call down there and see what’s up. Seeing as how I didn’t really have an appointment, I can’t really say anything.

I’ve had the car two weeks! And it’s almost twenty years old and (was) in awesome condition. My friend can fix it though, which is good, just pisses me off (heck I was sobbing on Sunday after I dented it, it is my first car after all). There’s plenty more expensive shiny cars with no alarms on them in the neighbourhood. Why pick on mine?

Wanna bet a lot of these expensive “untouched” cars are in this state because the owners who can afford to buy them in the first place can also afford teh work to keep them looking “new?”

I just stopped by to let ya’ll know of a little secret endeavor a few of us have up our sleeve. We’re trying to keep it on the down low so here’s a spoiler box:
A certain Doper lost his garden plants in the recent Midwest flood. The problem was exacerbated 'cause he’s got a disability with his hands and it is painstaking, tedious work for him to put all these plants in. We originally thought to pitch in and replace those, but realized the planting season was mostly over. Instead we’ve decided to get him some gift cards from the Nursery so he can purchase whatever he likes, whenever he likes. PM me for details, or email at NinetyWt @ aol.com. This isn’t a troll for $$, we just didn’t want to leave anyone out who might like to pitch in.

snerk That comment, VBob, reminds me of an incident a few years ago at DragonCon, when I was wearing a fantasy-sort of costume and ended up on an elevator with several guys dressed as orcs. Carrying pizza. The obviously hungry orcs then decided I might be a hobbit and would be tastier than pizza! Fortunately I had shoes on, what with there being several of them and little me in an elevator!
Car problems of any kind suck. My car guys swear there’s nothing wrong with my car. They’d better be right. I really needed that sleep I didn’t get this morning. Getting up early on my Saturday sucked big time. yawn
I am a dang good cook if’n I do say so myself. Of course I have a certain ol’ y’all know who to back me up on this.
It’s gloomy and doomy lookin’ out. There’s storms all around but so far all we gotten is some moderate rain. I’m hopin’ for an all out tstorm.
We’re supposed to be under a severe storm watch. I can promise you that they don’t know what a really severe storm is like, up here. They count lightning strikes on the news! That being said, I’m hoping for rain, but no lightning. Lightning does nasty things like start fires. I got my fill of that last year.
Hey,Mr Bus Guy, I just saw a school (no kids on board) bus speed through a red light, then stopped in a no parking zone, put on the red flashers. The driver then got out and went into a Subway. Should I call someone?

Today’s just been really hard for all sorts of parental related reasons. The least of which is that I have an ambivalent relationship with my parents due to a variety of reasons during my youth so being with them when they are ill is a mixture of obligation, apprehension and genuine worry.
It’s just been hard today and I’m feeling rather stressed and blue.
Anyway… hope everyone is fine and that Flutter’s car gets left alone and that Achod gets the sleep of the just.
Bedroom sheetrock is all done. **FCD ** and I had Bad Chinese for supper. Tomorrow, SIL and I will start mudding. Oh, and I did a load of jeans.
I had such a weird dream last night - about halfway thru it, **FCD ** turned into a short, skinny Asian man. And I was riding a bicycle in an airplane hangar at a marina. There was also something about a condom made out of foam. And, no, I wasn’t drinking last night.

Ivory, I’m coming up on that, I guess - my relationship with my parents is shaky at best, and now that she’s ill…
I really wish the whole world would realize that just because they don’t beat you or molest you and you have everything material doesn’t mean they were good parents.
The SO is enormously stressed out because of his family so we’re going to see a late night showing of Wall-E tonight.
God, Meeks. Truer words. And everyone else can think your parents are just the sweetest things and never know the truth.
