Yesterday was our anniversary so we played hooky all day.
Went into Portland to the Art Museum and saw the Shape of Speed Exhibit, and then had a very nice late lunch/early dinner at a nice restaurant nearby. Then we came home and watched the Great British Baking show and Endeavor and went to bed.
I never even got on the interwebz at all yesterday.
This morning I had an early date with the dentist so he could put in a filling, and now I’m here boring you all.
My shoes are clean, by the way. I’m afraid I don’t find poop all that entertaining. Our two small dogs generate more than enough poop that has to be dealt with without me talking about it as well. Right now the little one is saving me from being butchered and eaten by the mailman.
Flytrap, I have beer. I live in Wisconsin. It’s almost illegal not to have beer.
Thanks for being understanding. I’ve always felt like a burden when my mental illnesses rear their ugly invisible heads. I’m high-functioning and hide it well, but sometimes it just gets to be a bit too much.
So you’re sleeping with Mel too emily? That guy sure gets around the MMP.
sari, I supposedly get my meds 90 days at a time. Currently, I’m three bottles ahead on two, they won’t fill one that I’m almost out of until Wednesday and the rest seemingly pop up randomly. Methinks somebody cain’t count.
As to the OP, there’s no dog poop on my shoes, but when I got home, once I sat down, Nelson jumped on my lap. As he kicked back for belly rubs, he let an SBD fly that stunk up the joint royally. Rotten ass puppy.
It was back to irk after vacation today. I got things almost caught up from when I was gone and can begin to actually start the real irkweek tomorrow.
No poop today, but the fingers I smashed Friday in my car jack accident* aren’t unswelling and I’m out of the ER painkiller RX. I still have sensation and circulation so I don’t think it’s compartment syndrome, just hurty syndrome.
The pitts come home from their month at training camp tomorrow, so it’s back to being vigilant with keeping our old guy and young guy apart to prevent fights. I’ve missed them terribly, but it’s been solo I peaceful for four weeks.
*Not the crimey kind: jack stand pad split and wheel well came down on my hand on top of the tire I was putting on. It took me about 30 seconds to position the hydraulic jack and lift the car off with my other arm. I’m fortunate to still have a left hand.
I caught up on some stuff I had been neglecting.
I had to go out to mail a letter, PITA bs with which to deal.
Ripple was happy because he loves to go for a ride.
Bye-Byes is one of his favorite words.
& if Flytrap catches fire, can we vent him, too? Please? Pretty Please?
In last week’s random step challenge I came in 10th (last place); of course, I only updated two days because I was on the road. Had it included all seven days, I would have been in second place.
Worked. Had a customer ask if we were honoring the clearance prices from the stores Walgreens is closing.:dubious::smack: Uh, no. “Will the be restocking them?” : headdesk :
We use that at work a lot along with the ever-popular “toot-n-scoot”.
Piker. I did something like that once but with six hand-cannons. And live rounds. Once. Twice was do-able but didn’t sound like a totally good idea once the shoulder healed.
And I didn’t ever once have to say “here – hold my beer”.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 95 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. A good day for some quality cee-mint pond time if’n I get the chance. Today’s agenda includes the takin’ care of some errands in town (ick!), laundry, and ahrnin’ (I must adult up and do that today). We shall sup upon brekkie as I shall make ham 'n cheese omelets, grits, and possibly bizkits.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas, since I am forced to go about the public I suppose I should purtify and don goin’ about the public wear. Bother!
My SIL’s niece and nephew spent the night last night - their dad is in the Army and they’re soon heading back to Texas, so they wanted extra time with their fun uncle. I was showing Naomi how to play the piano - I just happened to have a “Child’s First Piano Lesson” book and I found a super-simple piece that I was able to teach her… sorta. She had fun, so that’s what mattered.
The cat-pee-detecting black light is supposed to be delivered today, along with the de-stinking enzyme solution. So guess what tonight’s plans are!
Got about 6 hours sleep, so I guess I am returning to normal (not a damn word, spidey).
Ridiculous thing happened at Kroger last evening. Coming to the checkout counter I somehow tripped and fell, bringing my cart with me. Fortunately I kept everything in the cart and wasn’t hurt, but when I think about all the steps and boats and walks I took in China that could have tripped me up, to fall down in Kroger upon my return was more embarrassing than painful. Still have no clue what I tripped over.
A Braunsweiger run, gassing up the car, and World Cup soccer are on the agenda for today.
