Got a little more sleep last night, but still not where I should be.
Jenn… I like the term “hurty syndrome.” I think I may use that. My kids often have a case of “hurty syndrome” when they’re trying to get attention.

You’re welcome to it! : )
Watching more MXC; the universe is in alignment.
The OW has a sore tooth and a dentist around noon so I’m just waiting to play driver before I go and play sorter.
IthinkIhadtoomuchcoffee.
Lunch time! Much busy has ensued, more to follow.
C’mon, Firday!!!
Worked for 2 hours, came home. Making breakfast, then time to rewire the entertainment center. Probably with “assistance” from Gordie and Alex Catt

I have completed errands and laundry. Two out of three adult things so far. I shall adult up some more and ahrn those dang shirts. I will. I promise. Today.
MetalMouse there is a reason your 'rents did not name you Grace.
Swampy well, aren’t you fancy - ahrning shirts and all. Almost makes me feel guilty for my standard outfit of t-shirt and jeans.
Moomm - Good luck with the pee hunt. If cats weren’t so darn cute, I’d just swear off of them entirely. They keep suckering me back in though.
Funny thing, swampy; my mother’s name was Grace.
Shopping all completed, gas tank filled up and lunch has been deposited in the Belly Bank. Now primed for France v Belgium in about an hour.
We have supped. I did ham 'n cheese omelets and hash browns. I used frozen hash browns. Don’t judge! OK, judge if’n you must. I say frozen hash browns are like frozen fries. Gotta cook 'em still so it counts.
Metal Mouse France vs Belgium. Hmmm… they both speak French but Belgium makes better fries so Ima go with Belgium. Heck, I didn’t even know they were at war with each other!
ETA: I did ahrn all six shirts. Go Me!
SIL’s brother drove all night from Orlando to Merrylande - apparently living with his gf had become intolerable. I think he missed his brother and family. Anyway, they’ve all gone to their mom’s house, so I’m alone with the critters.
The black light shows the scary extent of the critter urine. I’ll be putting daughter and SIL to work scrubbing the walls, since their dog started it. I’ll take care of the furniture and carpet.
Supper was leftovers. **FCD **called and we chatted for a bit. He sounded exhausted, but he says the school is really good. And he got a line on yet another potential customer - like he’s not busy enough…
I’m about to assume the crochet position and chill the evening away.
Another PITA job done.
It took 2 and a half hours for the two of us to get my son enrolled in his classes for fall. One of the items on the ToDo List that had been neglected. Pickings were slim as most classes are full.
I hope his advisor approves them. It should have been done in May,
He has to pick a focus of study and he has no clue what he wants to do.
He also has to deal with the fact that he cannot continue to take online classes only.
We finished killing off the rest of the weeds poking up through the parking pad, incuding the neighbors’ pads on both sides. I wonder if OAOASO is still doing asphalt, maybe he can bring a small load out here and repave the entire pad.
My son used some stop-leak tape to stop the leak from the laundry tub. The only water going down the drain is from the dehumidifier, so it isn’t a major problem anyway. As long as the tape holds and the water goes down the drain I won’t worry about it until I have to fix something else.
I have a bunch of phone calls to return, but they will have to wait until tomorrow.
Smooshed fingers are now starting to unswell. I have a very good visual reference for this because my tire tread pattern is stamped into my finger pads; the pattern distended the first hours as they ballooned, now it’s starting to return to its real-life size.
The tread stamp is actually kind of cool, I’d be down with it being permanent 8. )
I attached a ‘dog waste bag dispenser’ to Vinnie’s leash for just this problem. I’d never heard of them before but the local shelter was giving them away a couple of years ago at some event or other and I got one then.
I shoulda known better than to try to be self-deprecating around here. This lot always stands ready to do that for me.
Ouch! Hope it gets better soon. Oh, I see it is getting better. Yay!
Swampy, Franchies can cook pretty good I guess, but the Belgiauns make way better beer and chocolate, so I’ma go with Belgium.
As I keep telling Wifey when we inadvertently wind up watching America’s got talent, “Cute isn’t a talent”.
I think we’re finally done with that show. It’s not the ‘talent’ so much as the production ‘values’, and at least one of the judges is annoying as hell.
I’ve been through this about 10 years ago – hang in there!
metal mouse, I think I’d’ve lied about the Kroger fall to make it sound much more adventurous.
ruble, you’ve likely realized by now that warehouse workers have the sense of humor of a bunch of middle school boys.
baker, I do like bumba and have a dispenser attached to Nelson’s leash.
Got a few things accomplished at irk today. It looks like I’m being loaned to AP for a couple of days over the course of the next week. It will be a nice change of pace.
The floors are swept, the place is dusted and the trash is set out to take to the dumpster in the morning. Once KP is done, it’s play in the studio time.
Entertainment center is all done and working. I did irk one of the house spiders while I was putting in the cable clips. I cleaned the kitchen, changed the sheets on my bed, and took a 3 hour nap(I had worked 30 hours this week as of 0900, so I was a bit tired.). I made a Manhattan for cocktail hour
red, I use shopping bags for Gordie’s poop. Easier to carry full bags on long walks, and you can’t tell how many bags you have left in the dispenser; Gordie can do 3 poops in a walk. I think I should put him in a freak show: “Behold! the beast that produces its own weight in excrement!”
Well, it looks like I’ll be canning, tomorrow. A friend just dropped off a bag full of cukes! I think I’ll make more Dill Pickle Spears with them. Everyone I know loves them, and I can give them away as gifts, I suppose. She’ll be bringing more, as more ripen. So, I know I’ll have more than enough to share.
I had the entire day to do the hovelwork, and the laundry. Everything is all caught up, so, I’m glad of that. I even cleaned/rearranged the kitchen counter shelves. That was an ordeal, but, it’s done. Shoot, I even cleaned the bathroom!
I was on a roll, today!
Soon, it’ll be bedtime. Good thing, because I’m pooped (In keeping with the MMP theme, you know!).
So you’re saying Gordie isn’t full of shit doggio?
At first I thought that this was the MMP definition of “irk,” and I wondered why you put a spider to work.
The Montreal Symphony Orchestra played a concert in my backyard tonight! Well, in a park so near to me it might as well be my backyard. I went with a few friends. ![]()
