Stoopid Bay Area commuters! As I was finishing hour 1 of my drive home last night, inching along, minding my own business in the lovely stop and go on I880, I got smashified. Two cars back some dimwit decided that slowing down for the pretty red lights was for rubes. So she didn’t. She smacked into some poor guy, who then got squished in between her car and mine. Her car looked pretty well totalled. My car has read end and right side damage. No clue how the right side damage happened - knocked into the rail maybe.
Anyhoo - my first ambulance ride. Hours later finally got released. All fine, just bruises and strains. Yay for modern cars!
Took me all day to find my car, which was NOT where the nice Highway Patrol officer said it would be Tomorrow it will get towed to the auto body shop and I’ll finally, maybe, find out what’s wrong. All I know is I couldn’t get it started yesterday when I wanted to move off the highway. I tried several times.
And we had tacos for dinner today here too Happy Wednesday y’all

I carried my lunch to school for 12 years, plus many years to work, never refrigerating sammiches with mayo, and never dying. The crime of mayo is when someone slices 2 cucumbers into a quart of the stuff and dares to call it a salad. One of my sister’s friends did just that at a party she hosted - I could barely look at the dish, let along try it. ick.
Good morning! No critter horkage or poopage this morning, so today is starting better than yesterday. I made FCD’s lunch (meatloaf sammich plus sides) and fed the dog. I did the dishes from last night and had a breakfast of 'nanner bread. We shall see what the rest of the day brings.
It’s cold out there - 18° in my back yard. The roof on our shed is corrugated fiberglass, and as the snow on it melted yesterday, it flowed down the little valleys. But it was cold enough that it re-froze and formed icicles that now hang from each valley - they’re really pretty when I turn on the back yard floodlights to let Higgs out! I’d take a pic, but my camera isn’t that good. But trust me, they’re pretty!

I noticed years ago that TP rolls were narrower. And by reading the packages, I see that there are fewer square feet of tissue per roll. Just like so many other products.
Mayo (speaking of) used to be in quart jars - now it’s 30oz.
Ice cream was half gallons, now it’s 1.5 quarts.
Canned products that were one pound are now 13-14.5 oz.
Sleazy way to raise prices, but mostly it pisses me off because old recipes were based on the old sizes. My pumpkin pie has less pumpkin than the recipe calls for because I’m not opening a second can to take 1.5 oz out.
I had to go to the store last night to settle another one of VWife’s imagined emergencies. I saw where they had ramen 6-packs of various flavors on sale for a buck anna quarter, so I grabbed 3. Chicken and beef flavors I understand, but what is ‘Oriental Flavored’? I’ve never tasted an Oriental before…
It’s cold. friggin’ cold and it’s going to stay cold.

I got up too early and stayed up to talk to a friend who is going through a crisis. Then I logged into irk. Trying to irk lots of extra hours because irk is slow and I have missed too much time due to some bs or another.
Yesterday sucked, I hope today is better.
Nothing major, just minor bull crap like burning my spaghetti sauce and my toilet won’t flush. I had to deal with some stupid people which is always an irritant.
