Watching the Kitten Bowl on and off; enough to hope the Mountain Lions win. I like cute as much as the next person (well, actually most people like cute more than I do) but three hours of this could be too much.
Why didn’t anyone inform me we were throwing things at doggio; I woulda participated.
Wait; the kitty bowl is 3 hours? Ruble, are you watching the TV or youtube again?
Kitty Purry was in the Roar video.
I thought I had a sinus headache this morning, but it’s not getting any better. I feel like I might be Coming Down with Something. No wonder I was getting depressed last night. I has a sickie.
My dad made some doughnuts out of marble cake and they taste so good! I tried glazing some of them. The glaze hasn’t set yet and I don’t know how successful it’ll be, but we’ll see. I haven’t actually eaten any of the glazed ones yet, only the naked ones.
Puppy Bowl!!!
and congrats on the music sales, Midget.
{{{Spaz}}} Soft Kitty.
Midget yay for music sale and donuts!
Nappage has been accomplished. Also, I was feelin’ a little hongry so I had a hot dawg and some chips.
I think I’ll make a coffee cake. Just because.
Thanks.
Doughnuts have been made. I’ve experimented with putting some glaze on some of them.
Changed the bulb in the back porch light, well Sah-son did.
Not so easy when the bulb is old and stuck.
I made pan cakes for him, we shared making them anyway. I don’t like them so they are all his.
I had a can of Chickarina soup for N.O.L. and I still feel full.
I think I will log into irk for a while, or maybe not. It’s nice to take some time off.
Serious question for swampy: you mentioned both Episcopalian and Lutheran bishops at the dedication of your church. What is the reason for both?
Done for the day. MWAH!
I’m only watching the superb owl for the commercials, but so far I am not impressed.
This year they started with the “play-offs” to pick the two teams in the Super. I would be curious how much video they had to shoot and how long to edit down to the final show.
So the Episcopalians have someone sober to drive everyone home?
(That and I believe we’re in Full Communion)
PUPPY BOWL
Not bad but the usual hour rerun several times. The kitten videos were a neat change at halftime though.
What? Don’t tell me everyone is off watching the Super Bowl? The halftimes show basically sucks and the commercials haven’t been much better.
The lion Katy was riding was pretty impressive!!!
Nope. Watching cooking shows.
I’m watching Columbo.
Before that it was Matlock reruns until I couldn’t stand it anymore.
I decided not to irk tonight, although I may still change my mind.
Just got off the phone with a friend, another friend is trying to call me but all she ever wants to talk about is the guy she likes who has told her repeatedly that he only wants to b friends. Now she is upset that he isn’t returning her text.
DUH!!!
Super Bowl!!!
Why would you expect him to?
She keeps saying if only he’d come over more often she would be happy. Then she wanted to be friends with benefits and I’m thinking yeah right, he’s going to take her up on that offer. NOT! He’s old enough to know better, I hope. I don’t know who she is trying to kid, she won’t be happy until there’s a ring on her finger and a bun in the oven, and probably not even then because he works 60-70 hour weeks and travels a lot for work. So after the ring and the bun she’ll want him to get a different job, because she is sure he’ll be screwing some other woman when he is traveling because we all know men are incapable of going without sex for more than a day.
But it’s all moot anyway because he has told her several times he is not interested in a relationship (with her or anybody else) and he only wants to be friends.
I might make a piece of chicken, I’m getting hungry. No surprise since I haven’t eaten since before noon.
Home from Even Song over to the church house. I have to say I was somewhat surprised at the crowd. The place was almost full. The music was incredible! We had a couple of guest organist who know how to rock an organ! Plus the combined choirs of St. Patrick’s/LCOS with the choir members from Christ United Methodist Church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and St. Teresa’s Catholic Church performed some music that sent chills down my spine and brought tears to my eyes it was do beautiful!
The reception after was not slack in the least. We can put out a spread and put on a partay!
red what ruble said, sorta. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the Episcopal Church (ECUSA) have a joint Called To Common Mission. That is for you to read at your leisure. It comes down to one can be ELCA and ECUSA with shared Priests/Pastors, Communion and all that stuff. The local ELCA (Our Savior) had dwindled down to a congregation of about thirty. Our Savior and St. Patrick’s (my ECUSA church) had through the years held joint services from time to time. Our Savior approached us with the idea of joining in with St. Patrick’s so they could retain an ELCA presence as they were no longer able to support having a physical space (sad note: they lost their church building and had been renting space from a local United Methodist Church). So we entered into an agreement whereby ELCA was, if you will, “enfolded” into St. Patrick’s but still able to maintain a Lutheran identity. Thus, there is a nine a.m. Lutheran service and a 10:45 a.m. Episcopal service but the church is St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church with the Lutheran Congregation of Our Savior. Follow that so far? In our new digs, we have a chapel called “Our Savior Chapel” in honor of LCOS. In addition we have an outdoor Baptismal Font and out door Altar. The Baptismal Font is the original LCOS Font. The Altar was built in memory of Pastor Diamond who for a long time served as Interim Pastor of LCOS and was instrumental in bringing LCOS to St. Patrick’s. So, this morning at the Consecration of the new Church, Julian Gordy, Bishop of The Southeastern Synod of the ELCA, and Scott Benhase, Bishop of the ECUSA Diocese of Georgia were present. Make sense? What LCOS and St. Patrick’s have done has drawn the attention of both the LCOS and the ECUSA nationwide. We get a lot of inquiries as to how we pulled this off and how it’s working out.
That’ll teach you to ask me a question!
I used to play the organ. I still have an organ but it no longer works.
