post-lunch munchies

I’m sitting here with the top button of my pants undone and my belt loosened a notch, cause, while I haven’t actually gained weight, it has collected around my middle. And I am contemplating what kind of snack I’m gonna get out of the machine. The creme-filled chocolate cupcakes are quite gooey-licious (I’ve had those a lot the past couple weeks). And there are the usual assortment of candy bars and such. Fritos maybe? Pretzels? Those contain a bit less of the bad stuff. Or perhaps some sweetart-like candies from the other candy machine. Hmmmm…

I’m always so indecisive!

Get some nuts.

Sorry…that sounded rude. Get some nuts to eat–even a candy bar with nuts. They are good for you and will keep you from heading back to the machine again an hour later like that bready stuff.

I would go for the salt, like chips or Fritos. But then that sets up the vicious cycle of salt followed by sweet. I second the idea of getting a small pack of nuts. Lots of protein and enough fat to satisfy your munchies.

Mrs Freshley’s, and they are shiny from the greasy fatty goodness. And take it form me, chewing gum doesn’t take the edge of the munchies.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I’m not a fan of nuts. I’m trying to tough it out.

Go for the popcorn - - you get more for your money then the other snacks!
