But, I had a lot to do anyways. Bought another car (92 Corrola), changed the oil, yada yada…
Then, I went toan afternoon get togeter for a couple of visiting friends from Detroit. One of my buds kids wanted to play cards 'cause she was bored. Only cards she had, tho was some Symon memory cards with animals on them fom Disney. (Hey, she’s only 9, give her a break).
Well, there was no place clear enough to play memory, so I said how 'bout Go Fish? She wanted War. How do play War with animal cards? Easy! Whatever animal would win in real life, would take the hand. Crocodile vs Zebra? Croc, baby! Lion vs jackrabbit? Duh! Lion! Dolphin vs flying fish? What do you think?
But, what about some of these combonations? Racoon vs Yak. Impala vs ant. Panda vs vole. PANDA!? Oh no, I know you didn’t say panda. Whee!
And there was one card that just said “Bird” with a very stupid looking bird drawn all cartoony and stuff.
Needless to say, it was blast. If you ever to get to play Animal Memory Card War™ with a 9 yr old kid, make sure you do it. the squeels of laughter and delight could be heard over all the other conversations. And that was just me. The kid was virtually in hysterics!
