This is probably going to be my last chance to bump this before the DopeFest and RenFest, since I’m leaving in a few minutes to go get the rental and then head up to get lurker from the airport. There’s a possibility I’ll be able to bump it tomorrow, but just in case…

hey guys, bad news… it seems the only way i’d be able to go is if my friend who just got her license today drove. Now, there’s probably no chance in hell her parents would be cool with her driving all the way up there from where we are, especially since she’s a “new driver.” And she really wanted to go to a renaissance festival this year. She missed out on the one down here because of her boyfriend, who, for some reason, can’t be bothered to do anything “normal” or at a time earlier than 21.00. [I hate going places with him.] If I do go, I will call Trouble Again and tell her that we’ve arrived.
Well I cannot attend the festival because I have to work 
But if anyone is looking for something to do afterwards, my band is playing again at a dive bar called daves right off the gandy bridge on the pinellas side. We play around 9:30. Brocolli might be there too. Just thought I would throw out the suggestion! Sorry Im missing meeting you all. Have fun!

Screech, sorry, I was looking for you, but never found you. I had a great time, but I had to leave Sunday night for Pensacola because my uncle is dying. So that means I won’t be able to post pictures for a while, or check this thread for replies. I really enjoyed meeting you guys and I’m sorry that I didn’t get to meet more of you or stay for any after festival festivities (so to speak). Will be back in a few days and will post pictures then.
Just wanted to say hi to all the folk from the Dopefest and thank them for making some out of towners welcome. (Maidenunicorn, Purplebear and BlueBear actually DROVE from Texas! That’s dedication!)
We had several potential dopers there too that we have to bring on board, including PrivyBoy and Carm WDNNP (from the sword show, and yes, it does mean what you think for those who were there (SanibelMan, I believe?)).
Thank you, TA, for recording the event. It was nice to meet you and I send my sympathy on your uncle. The pictures can wait. Anyone who rushes you is an insensitive jerk, and I certainly should know about insensitive jerks.
