Agreed with this completely.
I hated Leanne’s wedding dress. The “waves” effect made it look like she was either pregnant or fat. Not a look a bride would want IMHO.

“You like it?? OMG, we’re total BFFs, let’s have a sleepover and a pillow fight and when we’re done I’ll make you a dress out of the pillow-feathers!”
This is another challenge that was done in PR Australia. Only I think they had to tear apart one of their other designs to make the bridesmaid’s dress.

Bad choice in my opinion. The flats add to the ballet tutu feeling. A nice 3 inch pump would have made these more bridal and dressy, and less like a costume.
Did Kinley style her bridal dress with flats also?

I don’t think it was the waves, it was the pockets. She put pockets on a wedding gown. And then her model shoved her hands into them. It ended up suggesting shotgun wedding.
Bad model. Bad.
Kenley’s bridesmaid dress was not good - unless the bridesmaids were all 17 years old and stick thin. People over 25 or of normal weight look stupid in bubble hems. The wedding dress was pretty - but a clone of McQueen’s. And I think she knew it.
Jerell’s and Korto’s were not good - and I do think hers were worse than his. But, yeah - whatever. I also think they’re trying to kill the show before it goes to Lifetime, because the season sucked.
It was somewhat ironic that the top two from last week who thought they were safe were in the bottom two this week. It was good to see Kenley playing nice although the previews for next week make it seem like she’ll be back to her old tricks.
I liked Kenley’s a lot, and think either she or LeeAnn were deserving of a win. I liked Jerell’s design but it looked like it wasn’t put together well or ironed. Korto’s I thought was the poorest design. I was sure she was going to be out, which made me sad because of the four I think she wants it the most. But Jerell was out! Shocker!
Boy is this a weepy show! Everyone had tears this season. Even Tim was crying! And we thought the one weepy guy from last year was too much.
I don’t feel that bad for some of the contestants though. Even though only the top three were “officially” at Bryant Park and were eligible to win, a few others did get to put on a show, and that’s a hell of a thing in itself. And you always hear people saying “I just want to get to Bryant Park”.
Where’s the reunion show? Don’t they usually do that before the finale?
And what’s going to happen to the new season now that they are being sued to keep it on the same channel?
Actually, the thing that most makes me want to backhand her is her consistently incredulous response to praise for other people. Gah. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a reality show contestant like I hate Kenley. And I watch ANTM, people!
That said, her dress, while not to my personal taste, did not suck. Both Jerrell’s and Korto’s dresses sucked. Her assertion that she was unfamiliar with Alexander McQueen’s collection (just like she was unfamiliar with Balenciaga’s earlier this season) pisses me off in it’s blatant falseness.
Regarding PR Australia: I was mistaken; the top three actually had to create an 11th piece for their collection from two of their previous designs. See 3:20 here.
The bride’s/bridesmaid’s dress challenge was actually very similar to the American version (00:45 here).
I loved Leeann’s dresses. I like the idea of pockets in a bride’s dress because you need a place for tissue (you’re going to cry) and it doesn’t look nice to be putting it into your cleavage. I do agree that the model shouldn’t have kept both hands in the pockets while modeling it.
My first thought on Kenley’s was “it’s Bjork’s wedding dress!”. I didn’t get the praise but I have to admit that both her dresses looked better than Jerrell’s or Korto’s.
I do also feel that this whole thing was done just to keep Kenley in for the final three. I feel sorry for Jerrell because he should have been safe.

I was at a Portland bar in my neighborhood where everyone gathers every week to watch this show. You should’ve seen / heard the reaction when Leeann won. It’s like we won the NBA Championship.
