The cheating was mentioned an episode or two ago. The guy (sorry I can’t remember his name) said Claire took a measuring tape into her bedroom and measured some pants she owned. She’s copied designs throughout the whole show.
I liked her look though.
Yeah, but as Dolores says, it wasn’t about copying Margarita’s dress. There appears to be a belief that Claire works on her measurements in her room outside of proper design hours, and that she basically cribs those measurements from a pair of professionally-made pants.
I’ve got to say, though, that much as i like Margarita, she took this way too personally, even when it did look like Claire was copying her dress. She was obsessing about it way too much.

Just watched the print challenge, and I agree with so much of what a lot of you have said.
Amy, ugh! Just ugly. no woman wants side flaps on her thighs and a print that looks like a piece of tape. or bandage, or what ever that was. She isn’t long for this world.
My favorite look was actually Miss Modest. It was a flattering dress, the fabric and print were lovely. The model looked comfortable but still sexy and stylish with a little class.
I have a strong dislike for Claire, but I think Margarita was mean-gurling her hard!
Oh, and Botany’s was rank, too.
And I think Michael just leaving the stage like that was absolutely scripted for Drah-ma!!
Now I see what the cheating was all about.
So both twins gone now. It is what we all wanted, but now I really don’t like Margarita or Michael. I think it was just handled badly by both of them, they are in the right, but they both come off now looking petty, immature and lacking in integrity themselves.
So Bahtany (I can’t remember how to spell her name) is staying. I was thinking it is a shame she went home on the print challenge when her own wardrobe and sense of style seem to indicate she has a very good command of prints. What she came up with was extremely disappointing.

Apparently Margarita, Botany and Amy think avant garde means just randomly bunching up fabric and attaching it poorly to your model and making her look like a walking laundry hamper. Botany blew her second chance, and Amy was boring. Boring is always the nail in your coffin. 2 eliminations, wow!

I really enjoyed Miss Modest’s look and she was surprisingly my favorite for the last challenge as well. She’s growing on me. She was the only one who seemed to really get what avant garde is supposed to be, dramatic and pure eye candy. Everything little girls love! But also, I have to laugh because the Gone With the Wind fan in me sees shades of Scarlett’s white prayer dress every time I see tiered ruffles over a hoop skirt! Happiness! lol! I thought she would win!
I wasn’t wild about Michael’s “melting disco ball” concept, but he can sew. Something about the way he attached the piece over her boobs was off and unflattering. I didn’t expect him to win. And yes, I am begrudging him!
Seriously, they are fawning over Brandon AGAIN? “I love the volume of the straps”…my eyes are rolling so hard I am seeing my tonsils. AND he won the Dixie cup challenge by default? His print was dumb. I do not get the love for this dude.
And they also were slobbering over Margarita’s messy morning-after prom dress? It was pure yuck. Like a Unicorn fart.

Yeah, I agree Botani’s was awful, but Margarita’s was a nicer-fabric version of the same. How they could have opposite reactions to essentially the same idea was bizarre.
Kenya – same petal look she’s done before. Kentaro actually had a beautiful effect with the meringue shaping of his skirt, but the whole look wasn’t over the top enough.
WTF with Brandon’s look? How could they love that. Avant garde doesn’t mean just adding more of the same straps you put on everything! And he basically ignored what the client talked about.
Ayana was robbed. Michael’s was well-made but hers was avant garde and perfectly in keeping with whatever these Shopkins things are.
Yes. How hard would it have been to go in private to Tim and say you saw her with a measuring tape? You’re risking nothing. I think her cheating makes Claire an asshole, but at least she was honest and took her penalty. He didn’t intend for her to get booted? What did he think would happen? And Margarita swings whichever way the wind blows.

Completely agree. I was sure that Ayana was going to win, and hers was far more in line with the Shopkins look. I thought Michael’s design was pretty great, but it doesn’t seem like it will make a very good doll for the collection.
By the way, what the hell is with all you people and Batani’s name? They put it right up there on the screen at least two or three times every episode.
I know! I do feel really bad about it…for some reason it just won’t stick. Well, if it is also any excuse, I couldn’t keep those infernal twins straight either. To me they were just Hair Twin and Bald Twin. And I am still calling Ayana Miss Modest, it suits her.
And I totally agree about her look being so much more suited to being shrunk down to doll size. How are they going to make a little mini “melting disco ball” silver sequin jumpsuit with all those lumps on it?

I know it’s mean of me, but I am so glad it was one of the twins who got caught cheating. They were really insufferable.

Oh, they can sew, but as if often pointed out, being good a seamstress/copyist does not make one a designer. BUT a designer is nothing without tailoring/sewing skills.
However, the contestants who have heads full of high-minded impractical fluff & want to “play” with everything conventional and talk of “juxtaposing” everything can be equally barfy and need to sit DOWN. That pink-haired Aaron kid was the prototype this season, but every season has had a few.
And on second look, I want to say again that I really, REALLY thought Margarita’s gown was horrifically terrible. Why make a woman’s boobs look all wonky? And Heidi was loving it! Heidi’s taste has always been borderline, but she is getting worse with age. When it comes to Heidi, I hear Michael Kors “slutty, slutty, slutty!” 
Kors’ trifecta of “NO” was short, tight, and shiny. All three of these should never occur together in 1 outfit together. Heidi is a walking billboard of short, tight & shiny!
Oh wow, an unconventional challenge inspired by a car that they have them drive around as a commercial in the show? They have done this more than once before, and I was prepared to be underwhelmed.
Miss Modest, Ayana, killed it! I have to say, the girl can’t do regular clothes worth a damn, but she knows how to do eye candy. And coming off her win last week in the avant garde challenge, I would very much like to see a collection from her because I think she could put on a good show. Her look was the best and most innovative by far this week, she deserved the win.
Michael, with his bungee cord cage, oh man, how many times have we seen this before? At least his girl was not naked, but he deserved every bit of the thrashing he got from the judges. Glad he is gone and Tim didn’t save him!
Brandon, oh how dumb that top was! It looked like a trampoline. Of course the judges dry-humped it and called it “thoughtful” and he couldn’t resist having one long strap dragging…:rolleyes:

Jeffrey S. was Season 3 winner and straight. It has been deemed that Brandon will win the whole thing. Last night Zac said “I want to see a final collection from him.” Kentaro will be booted off, but saved, next week.The final 3 will be Brandon, Kenarto, and Ayana. So says my crystal ball.
