An odd episode. There were a bunch of scenes where the story dragged, or I wanted to slap the screen even knowing it’s supposed to be a comedy. But there were also a few choice bits where we and my cowatcher burst out laughing. So, overall uneven.

I felt that the end was a bit of a cheat. I liked the idea that the secret stash was a bunch of bad paintings made important only by context. They didn’t need to make one a Rembrandt. It was enough that the Dread Pirate Roberts death was faked and he stole his bank account back. They didn’t need to twist the treasure hunt too. The dead guy’s painting was valuable enough on its own merits.

This is pretty much my reaction as well. An uneven episode with moments of hilarity, moments of dragging, and moments of too much over-the-top-ness (e.g. the tour guide). I did like the way they worked in Shaun’s fear of the concept of death - that makes total sense for his character.
