My sister is driving the rest of us crazy trying to remember a cereal hawked by a purple gorilla, so I promised her I’d ask about it. She swears that she remembers a purple gorilla that was a cereal mascot, and that she’s not thinking of not Grape Ape, or Magilla Gorilla, or Fruit Brute.
Does anyone know if there was ever a purple gorilla that advertised cereal, and what cereal was it for?
I don’t remember one off hand, but see if anything here looks familiar.

Gorilla Grape resonates in my over 52-year old brain. It seems like it was part of a series. Like there was an Ocelot Orange or something.
