I give him a tough time from time to time, but my hope is that the process works like this: He tries these ideas that he gets from where-ever out on us, and we point out our objections, and from this process he’s learning how to test ideas for soundness. That would be a good thing. In 5 years he may reject it all and be a radical leftist environmentalist, and in 10 he may be a damn savvy grown up.

I’ve got at least one Official Warning for reacting to something utterly clueless that Qin posted. I thought he was just a troll for a long time, but I no longer think so. The kid has a brain on him, and he’s just exploring his boundaries. He needs to read a bit more widely I think, a bit more fiction?
