Based on bbs2k’s history - like the post where he was encouraging Q.E.D. to “stand by” an insult that got Q.E.D. a warning - I think he was dicking around with Q.E.D. Hence my response.
No, I really don’t think it does. There are a couple of other posters with board in-jokes in their location fields and that’s fine with everybody, but I saw this as something different.
Listen–strange women lying in ponds changing electronic message boards’ rules is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the Master*, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony or tapping on a keyboard. You can’t expect to wield supreme moderator power just 'cause some watery tart threw a laptop at you!
Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! HELP! HELP! I’m being repressed!

(Yes, I think you’re a guy, but it didn’t fit the dialog.) We all know who the Master is.
And you’d be completely wrong. Suffice it to say it’s somewhat of an inside joke between us, and while I don’t exactly encourage it, I have no real issue with it either. The warning is unwarranted and unnecessary.
I’m changing it back to “DUDE in Boston”. I didn’t realize I was such an actual “troublemaker”. Apologies to** Q.E.D.**, even though I think he knew what the joke was, and to Marley, because I guess he didn’t.
May I take this opportunity to remind the moderators that sometimes, it might be worth trying to figure out what is up before using the jackboots? Especially true once we stop shaking peeps down for, er, that is, charging admission for posting.
