Quick, what's your current earworm?

I’ve been watching the live-action Cowboy Bebop, so “Tank!” it is.

Jazz at its most facemelting.

I’ve got the end credits music for The Mandalorian. (Because the Boba
Fett music isn’t memorable at all.)

I meant to post here a few days ago. I had had an earworm for that one song about I love the cocaine, I love the cocaine. I told the girlfriend about it, and she sympathized. It went away later on, and I forgot about it. That evening, we went to pick up our auction winnings. We loaded the car, buckled up, turned the key, and what comes over the radio? I love the cocaine, I love the cocaine. I groaned and she laughed.

I re-watched the new Animaniacs last week, and my current earworm is the chorus from

These 2 tunes currently - they alternate :

The constant, nagging sounds of Sister Janet Mead, of course:

Showing ‘what they got’, at 0:50 - superlative.

That’s beautiful. Sadly, she just passed away not 4 weeks ago.

Two weeks ago I was listening to a local public radio folk music program on a Saturday night. They played this song, which I had heard before on the show but for some reason this time it bored into my brain and has been an unwanted earworm since.

The version they played was an abbreviated one. The linked version has some extra verses.

For no earthly reason (I never liked the song), this has been going through my head today.

Justin Johnson. Blues to soothe the savaged soul.

This brings me back to my childhood. My mom was a big fan of the Hollies. I can remember like it was yesterday, walking home from the bus stop (another great Hollies song!) after school and my mom would have The Hollies blasting through the open windows.

Bessie Smith’s version of Gimme a Pigfoot and a Bottle of Beer. Great tune, and I like her version more than others I’ve heard. Cool lyrics, too, although there’s at least one mistake in everything I’ve seen online.

Six days on the road and I’m gonna make it home tonight.

I just rewatched The Irishman on Netflix, so I got Delicado stuck in my head.

Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace by Cheap Trick.

Amy MacDonald’s cover version of “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher.” I downloaded her recent version of “What’s Up” and the other cover came up right behind it in my iPhone.

I think I made it nearly 3 years without listening…

Earworm Doctor (world weary, with a sigh): What is it this time?

Trep: Er… Chestnut Mare. By the Byrds.

Earworm Doctor: Again? [checks notes, another sigh] Third April, twenty nineteen.

Trep: I’m sorry Doctor! Once - I just listened to it once…

The Lyres’ “Help You Ann” has infiltrated my brain. There are worse earworms.

The theme to the 1958 private eye series, Peter Gunn.

As earworms go, it’s a pretty good one.

I’m not a particularly big Taylor Swift fan, but this song has really grabbed me.
