Heard it three days ago, and it’s been stuck in there ever since:
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, sexy lady!

Many versions don’t have the Frank Miller line. But the movie does.
Thelast verse in the movie goes:
God help me. It’s “I want to be Bobby’s girl.”
Oh you poor thing - you have my sympathy on that one
The William Tell Overture
It’s kinda fun.
I’ve been reading Right Ho, Jeeves, which reminded me of how well Hugh Laurie and Stephen Frye played the characters. I looked up some bits on youtube for fun, and made the mistake of clicking on Bertie Wooster singing “Tweet Tweet”, a silly 1929 novelty song.
Unfortunately, the maddeningly catchy tune has been stuck playing in an endless loop in my cranium ever since.
For the third day running. Help!
Oh god you poor soul, there is little that can be done to help you.
Finally, an earworm I can enjoy a little: Sister Morphine (Stones).
Noir Desir - Le Vent Nous Portera
Hypnotic.
Watched the premiere of Denis Leary’s new show Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll the other day.
Now the “title” song is welded into every synapse of my brain. The horror.
(I don’t think I’ll be watching any more episodes. And not just because of the song. :()
For a few days now: Clint Black’s I’m Leaving Here a Better Man.
Country music as an earworm. Great.
What I don’t understand is how an earworm can get started with a song that you really don’t like. I have music playing in my head all the time, I guess because I are a musician of sorts. Radio Clothahump usually plays 4-6 songs and they rotate, but right now, I’ve got one that I really dislike that snuck onto the playlist.
Right now, I’m alternating between
Time Passages by Al Stewart
Grateful by Dave Nachmanoff
Walk of Life by Dire Straits
Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera
and the one that’s about to make me pull my hair out: Fly Like An Eagle by the Steve Miller Band. Annoying as hell.
The theme song from Orange is the New Black. We did a mini-marathon yesterday and that song has been stuck in my head All. Day.
Pull Me Under by Dream Theater. Haven’t heard it in ages but for some reason it popped into my brain today.
Love the song, just pulled it up and cranked it!
I’ve been hearing “You’re in the Money” for a few years - they use it on NPR’s “Marketplace” program but it doesn’t matter if I’ve heard the show or not. Once in a while, I get a different ear worm for a while but it always goes back.
I’m glad my ear worms switch up pretty often
although I usually go back to Kandi,
However now it’s
You didn’t have to be so nice
I would have liked you anyway
Lovin’ Spoonful
OI! For right now, I’ve been stuck with Ringo singing “Don’t Pass Me By”!
“I listen for your footsteps / Coming at the door…”
To help erase this, I will be frantically searching for Spongebob’s musical doodle earwig song right… now!
I think you’re all secretly coming here to post your favourite songs. Well, that or you’re a bunch of sadists.
If you do want to dislodge that earworm though, you should pop over to the thread games forum and play one of those “make a new word” games.
