Quick, what's your current earworm?

Peter Gunn Theme, Dude.

:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I’ve been singing the same four lines over and over in my head for 3 days. But I like the song and the voice.

The Red Clay Strays is the name of the band. I like I’m still fine

For no apparent reason, my mental jukebox has been playing “I Am, I Said” by Neil Diamond all morning. Some of the lyrics:

“I am”… I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair

Even within the context of the song, that’s pretty banal.

Queen’s “Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy”.

Don’t know where it came from.

mmm

I Saw the Mountains by Noah Cyrus

It earwormed its way into my mind the first time I heard it this weekend.

“This Town,” by the Go-Go’s. I heard it on the “First Wave” channel on SiriusXM on Friday, and it’s been bouncing around in my head since.

Just turn off Stanley Clark’s Life Suite Part 4 and his bass line plays on.

My wife mentioned the paw paw earlier today, and now I have The Bare Necessities stuck in my head.

Annie, I’m not your Daddy by Kid Creole and The Coconuts.

I have absolutely no idea why.

Buffalo Springfield’s “Hot Dusty Roads”.

It’s a great tune, check it out if you’re not familiar.

Buffalo Springfield - 05 - Hot Dusty Roads (by EarpJohn)

And now, I have an earworm.

Sabatons “First Soldier.

Thanks to the credit union, I now have ABBA’s “The Name of the Game” on infinite loop.

“Bolivia” by Gato Barbieri.

I told an Aussie friend about the Warner Brothers sampler albums of the '70s, and how I got to hear music I never would’ve otherwise. I mentioned “Sweet Dreams”, which at that point wasn’t on any albums.

That was enough to get it stuck in my head.

But then he recommended the Steven Wilson remixes of classic Jethro Tull albums, including non-album cuts… like “Sweet Dreams”. That got it stuck in his head.

We met up at a bar last night, and compared notes: a week later, and it’s been playing non-stop in both of our brains…

Oh, and here’s a video the lads made from a live performance, without the acoustic guitar, alas, BUT with a horror-movie look, perfect for the season:

“The Door Into Summer” / The Monkees

It Never Rains In California

I’m listening to it in my head now. Catchy melody

Chicago - Never Been In Love Before

The guitar intro - and just the guitar intro, over and over - from Back On The Chain Gang by The Pretenders. The first 25 seconds of this.
