Rain, rain go away from the MMP

I didn’t find a toy vulture at the store, but I did find an adorable toy pufferfish. My plan’s now changed to putting it on his keyboard with a note saying “You’re HOW old?”

Squirrel was worried when I left irk today. He knew I was up to something.

sari, I’d say that looks like a plant of some kind. ::d&r::

I worked, I came home, I cleaned the toilet, I walked Gordie. Boy is still snoozing.

Sounds good to me.

My towels are stacked neatly. And so are my mega packs of TP.

:dubious: Not alphabetized either. And you call yourself anal. harumph

: collpses on swampy’s fainting couch :

The leaf pattern resembles Jack in the Pulpit, but it ain’t.

I wish Green Dragon was taking over my yard.

Up again at 0500, so I refereed 4 (count’em, 4) soccer games and after coming home, did not take a nap and then mowed the grass this evening. So if I don’t get a solid 8 hours tonight I will know my body hates me and is trying to do me in…

flytrap, watch this for reactions to gefilte fish… KIDS vs. FOOD - GEFILTE FISH - YouTube

Thinking about a excursion to Evansville, Indiana (about 240 miles) tomorrow to see if the elusive Oscar Mayer Braunsweiger can be spotted and captured. WTH, gets me out of the house and a chance to listen to my Car Talk CD’s…

Wide awake in the middle of the night.:smack: I guess I shouldn’t have slept all day. :smack: tomorrow or rather today when I do drag out of bed I have to get packed for my hospital vacay. I reserved me a nice room so it will be sorta like a mini vacation. I am supposed to be heading to Ga this week. I need to call Delta to see if I can change the flight otherwise is is over $400 gone. I also asked my boss to take my name out of the hat for the TDY to Washington State in early June as I don’t need to be that far away from home in light of Hubby’s recent heart ailments. I will reschedule the GA trip though.

Off to try for sleep.

Yeah, those. Those are giving the underwriter heartburn because when he factored that in, that’s what screwed the debt-to-income ratio up and triggered the request to pay Airman’s car off.

I came up with what I thought was a brilliant solution. I have an old credit card that needs to be paid off anyway. I called the mortgage guy and proposed that I pay off that card ($500 is a lot cheaper than almost $3000 and the bill has to be paid anyway) and add me to the mortgage application because then, my income will be included and since I make a lot more than Airman does and since my paycheck is direct-deposited, the debt-to-income won’t be a problem and the underwriter will have to find something else to bitch about. (The reason why I’m not is because my credit is OK but not enough to qualify because of this card and a couple of other things that just have to fall off my credit.) The mortgage guy is going to talk to the credit guy and see if this will help. If it will, awesome. If not, we need to start talking to relatives about borrowing to pay the car off.

And I also talked to the realtor. She said she will talk to her office’s mortgage expert and the mortgae guy to see how the tax calculations were done to see if there is a way to re-do those to get the debt-to-income ratio to play nice.

Of course, the deposit is due tomorrow and the inspection is Friday. GAH!

Apparently, one or more of the insects buzzing around me yesterday was (were) bloodsucking. I’ve got several itchy welts on my arm that kept me up at various times during the night. I have insect repellent, but I forgot to put it on. Not smart.

In theory, it’ll be sunny and in the 70s today. We shall see. I’ve got to do laundry, and I’ll ride the mower around and push where the John Deere won’t go. Whether I do any weeding is still up in the air. Some weeds will be whacked, tho.

Happy Sunday anyway!

Up, caffeinated, abd sheveled. Off to work.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

to all you mothers, including Flytrap. I’m sure he gets called “mother” a lot.:stuck_out_tongue:

That’s not anal, it’s basic effort-saving methodology!

FCD’s dad was put in the hospital yesterday. His BP is extremely high and they’re not sure why. I think some tests are supposed to be done today. Regardless of what they find or don’t find, I hope they cancel their planned trip up here next weekend. MIL can’t drive any more - she’s going blind, and FIL doesn’t need to be doing an 800-mile drive at his age. I know 86 isn’t the same as dead, but on the interstate, the slower reaction time could be bad.

Naturally, he’ll be in denial about it. I understand that giving up independence is scary, but so is being on the road with someone who refuses to acknowledge reality…

Happy Mom’s Day, all you Mothers

It doesn’t appear to be a cactus either.
Nor is it ugly enough to be a flytrap. :dubious:

You’re going to drive almost 500 miles for lunchmeat? & I thought I was nucking futz.

In fact last night I proved I am nucking futz…& I’m very depressed over it, too.
I got my arse kicked by a trampoline. We went to the trampoline park. At first I was proud that I was the only adult in the entire place out there jumping with the kids. Then I was lying on the side, begging for oxygen…or a bullet.
Mooommm’s right about that refusing to acknowledge the getting older reality. :frowning:

That’s because in his case, & yours, “mutha” is only ½ a word. :o

& shouldn’t
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
be in a more feminine color?
Hoo boy, am I gonna catch it for that comment

When thieves fall out… :dubious:

Just finished whacking - I ran out of battery power, so it’s recharging and so am I! Push mowing is next - ugh. Then I ride ol’ Johnny D around the yard like a cheap mule! I don’t know who invented the riding mower, but he/she/they shall forever be my hero(es)!!!

I am very happy with Delta Airlines. I was able to change my flights to GA for only $25 which was the difference in the fare price. They waived the change fee due to medical circumstances. One less thing.

Lazy day. I really need to get busy packing a bag. Louie needs his Sunday bath and I need to figure out what we are going to eat today. Also laundry.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all you Mama’s.

I already wrote in another thread that I like to call Mother’s Day “the day on which I envy people who don’t have awkward relationships with their mothers,” so I won’t repeat it here. Or maybe I just did. I dunno.

Went to a concert the other day. My friend conducted an orchestra playing music by Bach and Beethoven.

Aw, **Midget **- at least you’ve got your Mumper Mom!! MWAH!!!

My daughter called while I was mowing the front hill, but I missed the call - it was hard to tell the difference between the vibrating of the mower and the vibrating of the phone. But I called her right back and we had a little chat. She’ll be here Firday - yay!

And I’m almost done with the yard work. Whacking is done. Push mowing is done. All that’s left is John-Deering the rest! That’s mostly easy - I just sit and ride, unless the chute gets clogged. I’ll just set the height up a bit higher - that should help. In theory.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Beautiful, sunny, and breezy outside. Little chilly though.

Happy Mothers Day everyone.

My son made me a cute little card. Everyone is out taking a walk, whilst I sip my coffee.

Dinner over at my mom’s house, with my sister and her family. Should be a zoo.

Spidey I’d give you hell over the pink thing, but, eh, I ain’t got the energy.

I’m still recovering from some of the weirdest dreams I can remember having in years. I managed to combine teaching at university, with a class reunion, with the election, with work, with moving. It was stressful and sucky. I even worked buying a new car into it.

Hugs Midget! Good Health/Speedy Recovery vibes to all in need!

DONE!!! John Deere is back in the shed and the grass is less out of control than it was earlier this morning. YAY!!
