Can I have two?
I brought the lights but there is no electricity and I rarely do shows after dark so I have no generator. This show was kind of a last minute thing that was put together after the usual promoters cancelled this year. Literally, outcry from the community has made this possible. So, no, the promoters didn’t think about the hours being after dark because normally this show runs earlier in the season.
It’s ok, I guess we’ll all be bumping into each other later on in the dark at least it will keep us warm.

Came home last night after a hellacious week long work trip to no AC and the house at 88 degrees. Urgh. Lodged the maintenace request and I was surprised when the agent called and said they would have someone here today. We went out for dinner as it was just to hot to be in the house. I got no sleep last night - even with fans going full blast and windows open to get some breeze flowing after the sun went down it didn’t get below 82 until about 3AM this morning when the breeze picked up. This house is so poorly designed there is no airflow at all and the AC unit is way undersized for the house. Good job it is just a rental!
Anyway AC man was here at 9.30 though and we now have cool air flowing at least!
mr ems had to go to work at 5AM this morning but he is back now and napping for a bit. We are then going to go have a late lunch and go look for used cars for his daughter. Gorcery shopping can wait until tomorrow.

Doggio - Yay, lunch dates! I like those.
Cats have been exercised, doggie is snoozing; gotta watch his poop later to see if the rubber hair that he chewed off one of MrTao’s tech conference tchotckes comes out, I guess. The cats got into MrTao’s goody bag on the counter, and took the thing out of the bag, put it on the floor, and walked away. I think they’re trying to bribe Mouse out of herding them when they’re outside and too near the no-no parts of the fence. /facepalm It wasn’t huge and soft, spongy stuff, but geez, dog, eat something EDIBLE, like all the chew toys you were lying in the middle of, lol! Mouse’s favorite chew thing is whatever he can tear to shreds. I can’t imagine what kind of dog-safe toy would fill THAT need, but I might just get him a little Kong and hope that keeps him occupied enough to stop searching for papery chewables, lol. Goofy pup.

Howdy Y’all! Been a day of yahd irk, laundry and ironin’. It’s all done and da bear is tahrd! After yahd irk and N.O.L. we went by Publix (aka The Pubic Sto’) and I got some shrimpies steamed to go with steak. I also got some fresh asparagus. So we shall dine upon steak, shrimpies, friggin’ good N.O.T. and steamed asparagus tonight. I spoil OYKW way too much, don’t y’all think?
Feel better MOOOOOOM! Like others have said, ginger ale is great for tummy troubles.
gigity only in the MMP would I learn such things as how to make puke taste better.

I’m having a super lazy Saturday, but I need to get moving because I have some friends coming down in a hour and a half. I want one of them to help me move a piece of furniture into place - it’s light, but long enough to be awkward for one person. So I need to move the stuff that’s where it’s going to go.
Drink half a pint of Scotch and sleep for twelve hours.

You left out take a handful of fruit flavored antacids so your puke will taste good. This has amused me way more than it should.
I’m so proud of my self-control. VWife and I went to the county fair this morning, and our local Congress Critter and Senator were there, leaving trails of slime wherever they went. The self-control issue was that somehow I kept my pants on; there was a primal urge to moon them that I fought down very hard.
Yahd got mowed, trash went to the dump, [del]bachelor chow[/del]dog food was made, and I also bought a mess of 'maters so I can make ketchup tomorrow.

N.O.T. are nukin’ away and OYKW is on grill duty. Garlic/cheese bizkits goin’ in the oven soon to be followed by asparagus steamin’. Dindin is comin’ along nicely. YUM!
I found this out by accident one day. Now I feel like a prophet spreading the word: “Thy puketh shall not be vile, children! Taketh the antacid and be happy in your vomit!”
Haven’t seen Capn Kirk in awhile but a thanks / shoutout to him. One hour, three beers, one can of carb cleaner and I have a functioning EGR valve in the truck. New they cost $299. I spent $7 (well technically $10 if you count the beers)
I didn’t need lights after all. A torrential downpour came through and actually tossed one of my tables over onto the ground. It even lifted the (weighted) tent next door to me and destroyed her shelving. Believe it or not only once piece broke. However, all of my tablecloths and the spoon ring holders are soaking wet. I’m home and I’ve left them in the car as I was soaking wet, too, and freezing. Oh well. It was a pretty good show before that.

Now I’ve got a honey mustard pork tenderloin in the oven for dinner which will be served with (don’t judge me) instant mashed potatoes. I’m starving and I can’t wait!
Oh, and doggio, you realize after telling us all week about your date that you have to give us all details. I’ve got to live vicariously through someone!

Dindin has been ingested. A couple of full bears there be herebouts. OYKW asked if I wanted a martini before dindin and, believe it or not, I said no thanks. As tahrd as I feel I think it woulda put me down for the night. Beddy bye shall be soonish enough as it is.
Dinner was yummy, yummy, yummy! I actually had to put the rest of the pork in the refrigerator right away so I wouldn’t keep eating it. The potatoes were just fine, especially with some added bacon bits and cheddar.
Now I’m sitting here on the couch with my sweet Mick. I coaxed her into sitting next to me on the couch so she would keep me warm. I just took my hair out of pigtails and now I’m freezing again because of how wet my hair still is.
Is it too early to go to bed?
I don’t know, Rosie; females who want to bump in the dark to keep warm are pretty popular with me!
Despite the fact I didn’t see a yellow crossing sign, I waited for the aminals to cross the road. Rule of thumb, if it outweighs your car, you should give it right of way. I’m not sure about the chicken, but I now know why the rhinoceroseseseseses (<– that’s plural) crossed the road – to get to the other side! Sadly, that road is being closed for good next weekend.
We had lunch, we talked, I gave her a meat stick(it was a Slim Jim, you pervs!:p) I had fun, waiting to hear if she felt the same way. 3 hours is good for a 1st meet, right?
