Except for Mom, every woman in my direct family has been raped. I feel confident that at most one of these women would have a problem with a consenting couple getting off on a rape scene or would have an issue with rape porn vs. any other type of porn.
jarbabyj has it right. It is about runaway sexual desire, and if that’s ok, then it’s ok. Ok?
I’m not that big on porn of any type, but can I use that, sorta like a professional title?
What the hell…
cornflakes, S.F.
p.s., Sofa King, there’s waaayyy too much reality in that post!
I disagree with Lizard, but I can see what bugs him, I think.
No, I don’t believe that anyone should go to jail for making rape porn that isn’t actually rape.
No, I don’t believe that any of the stuff you find on commercial web sites is actually rape, for the reasons spelled out clearly by a number of posters.
But what little I’ve seen of the ‘rape porn’ genre seems to have little in common with the bodice-ripper rape fantasy, and more in common with simulating the brutalized, scared-shitless feel of an actual rape. For instance, one of the photos I saw had the woman made up so that she looked like she was bleeding all over herself from being slugged in the mouth.
When I say “I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable around anyone who wanted to watch such portrayals,” this is the sort of thing I’m talking about. I doubt that having a few teeth loosened by a fist to the face is part of many women’s rape fantasies, and I certainly wouldn’t want it to be part of my own.
I don’t want to outlaw the images, anymore than I could outlaw the fantasies. People can do what they want, as long as nobody’s harmed by it. But I’m perfectly comfortable with saying I find fantasies and images this extreme to be repulsive, and the idea that someone likes them creeps me out.
But because YOU are uncomfortable with that simulation doesn’t mean that WE are sick fucks. And actually, one of the REQUIREMENTS of my rape fantasies is being hit in the face.
Exactly, RTF. From what I am gathering, there are two different directions these “fantasies” can go - the “Oh no, you evil pirate, don’t you ravish me!” and then the vile, painful depictions you describe above. One is pretty standard, the other is pretty creepy (IMO).
I too would get the heebie-geebies from something that was depicted as painful, scary, bloody - yikes. Creepy. Major creepy. But “bodice rippers”? Maybe a bit silly to some, but pretty standard stuff. Did you ever see the silent film “The Shiek” with Rudolph Valentino? I believe it had the same sort of bodice ripper “theme” in it. (It’s been a while since I’ve seen the film.) And it had women from almost 100 years ago (OK, so maybe 80-90 years ago) swooning.
not bloody face or loose teeth, but being soundly bitchslapped, made to cry, humiliated, possibly threatened with a knife, tied up, gagged, blindfolded, treated like an animal? I’m all for any of that.
And interestingly, aside from the crying, none of that happened when I was REALLY raped.
P.S. Space Vampire, you might want to consider therapy as a lucrative field for yourself. I ran across a study of college women who found that 57% of them have rape fantasies. By god, you’d have patients coming out of your ears!
I have absolutely no problem declaring that you are a stupid ass-fuck who should be beaten soundly about the head and neck until some sense gets knocked into that fucking empty head of yours.
Except for your utter lack of psychiatric credentials and your patently adolescent understanding of human sexuality. But other than that, absolutely no problem at all.
Well, that’s OK. It’s the patients coming in your ears you gotta watch out for.
Rade fantasies? Yeah, I got my prison domination fantasies, along the lines of being forced to service Keller and Schillinger in Oz. It’s a fantasy, as in not real.
Sheesh, some people need a nurse to watch out for 'em out in the big, bad, world.
