with the exception of my school work, it’s just how i write. it’s not a gimmick or me trying to be different. frankly, i’m kind of surprised at the reactions. it’s the pit, i know, but i’m sure i’ve seen other posters over the years who write the same way and it never seemed to bother anyone.

I agree with you that Christians come in many different flavors and the worst ones get all the publicity.
Jesus gave us all Cliff notes to Christianity when someone asked what the most important commandment was and He replied (paraphrasing)
He doesn’t just say that loving God and loving your neighbor are a couple of things to keep in mind, He says that they are the root of all that we believe…
ALL the law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments, not some not the old testament, not the new testament, ALL OF IT.
If you knew nothing else about Christianity but you knew these two things, you would know Christianity and if you know every word in the bible but don’t know these two things then you just have a good memory. They had a word for this sort of person in Jesus’ time, they were called Pharisees, people who loved every word of the law but none of the spirit.
Its really easy for a straight male to follow the Pharisee’s rules: don’t be gay, don’t get an bortion, go to church on Sundays, don’t swear, don’t steal, etc.
Its really tough to love your God and love your neighbor. Every time I spend $20 to buy my kid a toy he will throw away by the weekend instead of feeding a hungry child somewhere, I break that rule. But thats why I need Jesus, because I’m not strong enough sacrifice my child’s fleeting pleasure for another child’s dire need.

in case i’ve given the impression that i’m college age, i’m not. i’m older than that. if people file me under illiterate, i can’t stop them, but i think i’ve demonstrated that i can read and write just fine.
i’m certainly not under the impression that i’m a special snowflake. time and experience have long since cured me of those youthful ideals.
i’m here for the same reason everyone else is- to debate, converse, share ideas. and i’ve done just that in plenty of other threads. perhaps it’s because i tend towards posting in cafe society, but it’s never been brought up before.
people can be harsh on me all they want, and i’m fine with it. i’ve certainly been rather harsh in some of my pit postings, and i’m not one to dish it out if i can’t take it.
certainly i’m interested in what other people think- about movies, tv shows, books, ideas, and on and on and on. but what they think about me? i don’t particularly care about that.

And despite your protestations to the contrary, you obviously do it because you think it makes you stand out - you can hardly claim it puts you out terribly to use proper capitalization. You can’t be bothered to follow basic rules of written English like a literate adult, a lot of people can’t be bothered to deal with you on an adult level.
