Reaching Climax: More Than Just a Feeling MMP

Man, those winch covers were a real booger to get made! But they’re done and the sewing stuff is put away. I had some leftovers, and I’ll have a little ice cream eventually. Daughter arrived at my mom’s safely. My critters have all been fed.

Thus endeth my weekend… <sigh>

Hi, kai!!

Grillin’ tonight. Tomorrow is hubby’s bday, so we’re celebrating together tonight. Porterhouse steaks, shrimp skewers, corn with lime-chile butter and salad. And strawberry shortcakes (on toasted biscuits lightly buttered and salted) for dessert.

Not too shabby!

::waves at kai:: Glad you’re having a good time! You deserve it.

I’ve had a really pleasant (if rather overheated) day. Watched the end of the first and beginning of the second bike race, went to the art museum (it’s the last week of the latest Chihuly exhibit) and then to the topiary garden, drove home through a brief thunderstorm that appears to have missed the bike race by two blocks or so, watched the end of the Mexico-Argentina game (:(), then went back out and watched the whole last race. The guys did about 9 of the 12 laps in the time it took me to walk the course.

Now I’ma upload pics, make a cross between this and this salad, and do some laundry and general cleaning.

Back after a while…

Hi guys!

We’ve been busy spending money this weekend. hubby and I bought matching laptops! And a new wireless printer. And I got a new smart phone.

I got the printer hooked up, but this whole network thing is mystifying. Homegroups and shared folders and Windows 7 and Windows Vista… my head is spinning! I might have to get someone who actually knows what they’re doing to come help.

Dinner is about to start getting grilled - chicken laigs and smoked sausage - with cole slaw and baked beans.
ETA: Happy Birthday, O Soapy One!

No tboomer yet! Cloudy and thundery all around but no boom booms. I want boom booms dangit!

Boom

Boom

BOOM!

Here, Swampy.

no boom-boom here either - but metric tons of humid - bleh

Took cousin out for her birthday - since it was her first meal of the day, even though it was at 2pm she kept saying “this is the best breakfast ever!” We had oysters and lobster at a popular shack then ice cream next door at Cold Stone. Then I dropped her off and went to pick local friend up at the airport. on the way home we stopped for mexican food - so it’s safe to say I won’t be hungry until tomorrow night.

Boom boom goin’ south. We got rain but no boom booms. I want rain and boom booms! I want it all! It’s not fair!

Lots of big red boom booms goin’ on southeast of da cave. No boom booms for da bear.

We’ve got rain and booms…

And I’ve mostly got my new phone all setup. Yay!

It’s too early to go to bed at 7:45, right?

Temp here has dropped under 90, but it’s still muggy. Temps are supposed to drop to the low 80s for mid-week. Then we leave for the 70s of Maine!

Skeeters here are horrid. I go out for a few minutes with the dogs, and I become a buffet. Stoopit skeeters! I hate summer.

StickyBuns we’re in the same time zone and I’ve been considerin’ takin’ a melatonin and watchin’ teevee whilst loungin’ in bed till sleepification hits. So, no I do not think it is too early.

Humid and grody. Had our grillfest indoors. It was my party and I like air conditioning better than icky muggy.

I’m ready for jammies, if not sleepies.

It’s down to 94 now. I’m having chicken jambalaya for dinner.

swampy, to quote Babylon 5, “No Boom today. Boom tomorrow, always boom tomorrow.”

Yay for kai!

I would’a picked indoors for the party, too, Soapy. Sometimes air conditioning is an extra-wonderful invention.

We’re supposed to have thunderstorms overnight, but I’m not sure I can believe them. We were supposed to have them most of last evening and a good part of this afternoon; we got almost nothing (which was a good thing because there were all kinds of outdoor events going on).

I’ve got laundry load #3 in the washer. I’ll be drying it in the morning, since I’m ready to crawl into bed NOW.

Anyone interested in getting us started in the morning?

Off to sleepy-bye.

Hugs.

New MMP!!!111one!

Exactly as it looks! Ecclefekkan, if you like. Great-sounding place, never been there but I think it would be a hoot to tell folks where I lived…

I know there’s a new MMP up, but I still can’t resist… It’s pronounced Throat-warbler Mangrove, of course!

Ooh. We might just have this place to ourselves!
