Deal. And if I avoid my left index finger, I’m fine. ![]()
You, my dear Soapy, are an academic geek.
Sorry about Bubba, Sticky. Hope he’s better very soon.
Need some Mumper vibes headed toward Faraway Best Friend and her family. She just called (it’s the middle of the night there) because they just took her son to the hospital with major major stomach cramps. He has cystic fibrosis, so he’s always had digestive issues. She was in a panic because she couldn’t go with him as she has to give oral exams tomorrow (and it’s not a situation where she can get a sub, unfortunately). Her hubby went to the hospital with him, but it’s not the same. They’re going to the clinic where his doctor is, so they’ll know what to look for, but still, it’s scary. I’m hoping it’s something minor that just has icky symptoms, but… So, appendages crossed, etc., please.
GT
Computer is working again. Dinner is steak, rice, and corn, Mexican style.
: crosses all sort of appendages for Faraway Best Friend :
Poor Bubba, get better!
127 days till hockey season!
Crosses everything for faraway friends son. Scary stuff.
Allergy attack. Sneezy. Achoo.
Crossing appendages for Faraway Friend, too… that sounds scary!
{{{Bubba}}}
I hope everyone is safe.
the aftershock made it all the way to Jericho, Long Island, NY.
well, really it was just an extremely low flying plane, but we did discuss the quake angle at length
Hugs for Faraway Friends…
The Bubster seems to be better. He’s in his crate for the night. Hopefully he’ll be ok. Sometimes when they’re sick I feel like maybe I should let them sleep with me, but they actually feel better when they’re secure in their crates.
We’re praying, GT.

I signed up for an online dating site, am trying to flirt with a girl.

How ya doin’?![]()
Well, we’re back from the Mad Hatter’s tea party. Sigh. It’s finally halfway nice, so we unwrapped the 'Vette, put the top down and off we went. The 'Vette is a beautiful machine, even though it’s 10 years old. We show it off at the occasional car show. It lives in the garage in the winter. The last time we went to a show, hubby took the front plate off and put the cover back on, because it looks nicer.
He forgot to put the plate back on before our trip.
Beautiful ride both in the car and on the ferry. We got to within feet of the Sequim exit. Sigh. We weren’t speeding, we had our seatbelts on, we even had the headlights on for safety. Unfortunately, Mr. WSP didn’t think that was enough. We got a $218 ticket for no front plate. Happy birthday to me.
We got to the folks, where I was given my present, a rather rude card, picked out but their live-in health aid, who doesn’t like me much. It’s ok. We went out to dinner… I love the place we went, so that was perfect. Well, except we paid for dinner. We went back to the house for cake… except caregiver didn’t buy the cake as they asked her, she bought flan and brownies… with almonds. Hubby has ended up in the hospital twice because of his almond allergy.
I thanked them and said I was too full to eat anymore. If I had eaten any, then kissed hubby, he would have a bad day. We said our goodbyes, and headed home.
Tomorrow we’ll do something fun with candles.
Sending out all the mojo I can muster, GT!
Worky-work tomorrow. Looks like it’ll be a lovely day in the good ol’ Seattle suburbs. Must remember sunscreen!
oh yeah - I almost forgot
Happy Birthday, picu
Happy Birthday, picu
I have a 1 in 365 chance of getting it right this time.
Known in Spanish as arreglarse, or “repairing oneself”. Whenever my mother tells me I should arreglarme, I tell her I ain’t broken.
Are you two sure it’s not unicorn?
If it’s in the usual location for a butt but it’s skinny, it ain’t a butt, it’s hip-hinges.
You have a 'Vette? I’m officially envious!
OK, so we can sing now, right? RIGHT? OK!
Feliz, feliz en tu día,
Enfermera, que Dios te bendiga,
que reine la paz en tu día
¡y que cumplas muchos mas!
(Enfermera is nurse. For some reason my brain seems to be in dictionary mode today)
canine servant, only because it’s a walkin’ year.
Appendages (but not appendices) crossed for the people and Bubbas with booboos, may they be little and last a short time.
ookkee, look at it this way: now you know your building is built properly! (duck and run)
Allow me to edit…
A very happy [del]un[/del]birthday to you, Picu! ![]()
I keep making the connection **Bookkeeper **-> Librarian -> “Ook!”, so Ookkee is Pterry-bly appropriate!

Many happies Picu and Muppet!
Lunch, don’t be too miffed about England going through, they get to play Germany on Sunday so there will be plenty of wailing and gnashing of teeth on the run-up to that one.
When they lose, there will be an implosion of catastrophic proportions and the entire country (apart from me, of course) will sink into a depression so deep you’ll need a crane to pull it out again.
Somehow I don’t think even England’s overpaid prima donnas can match the French for a good old flounce!
