Not much - we have tickets for the “Farewell Tour” of Riverdance next month, and The Troubies production of A West Side Christmas Story a couple of weeks later, and that’s it.
I’m good for about another month - I have tickets to see Lucinda Williams in November.
Looks like I’m the first to die – Andrew Bird, Saturday a week.
Nothing booked for me. I always have trouble finding people who want to see the same bands as me. ![]()
Saw them at Hyde park earlier this year, where they were support for Arcade Fire. They were very good.
If it’s someone I really want to see, I buy the tickets first, figure out a companion later. (This does occasionally fail to work out – I’m taking my brother to Andrew Bird.
)
I’ve got third-row tickets for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra next month.
I need to live forever - Kate Bush still might tour one of these days.
They Might Be Giants, in late November
And then Jonathan Coulton and a bunch of other awesomeness on JoCo Cruise Crazy in February.
I had tickets to the Foo Fighters in November. I was so excited to go, I have seen them before and love their live shows.
But about two weeks after I bought the tickets, my sister-in-law and mother-in-law asked me if I wanted to go with them to China. The concert is scheduled for the day before I get home. I sold the tickets and made $250, so I can’t complain too much.
I’m seeing them December 22. I’ve seen them once before a number of years ago, I cannot wait!
hangs head I bought tickets for a friend and I to see Duran Duran at the end of October.
She’s a serious fan and I will be mildly entertained but I really like her
I saw TMBG with Jonathan Coulton last month.
There’s really nothing keeping me alive anymore.
In December we have tickets to see **Wilco ** three times in one week, at progressively smaller venues. First at the Civic Opera House, then at the Riviera, and then at the Vic. There are tickets to a fourth show at an even smaller venue (Metro) going on sale this Saturday and hopefully we can snag a pair of those too.
I can shuffle off this mortal coil anytime after that week is over.
nothing
uh-oh
Fountains of Wayne at Slims this Saturday
Roger Daltrey at the San Jose Civic next Friday
Nothing, though I would love to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra…the problem is, the weather. Every show comes to town during the worst weather for driving.
None. I was literally counting down the days until Kesha came to Chicago in August, but now that’s come and gone. Now I have to wait for her to schedule her next tour.
Leon Russell is coming here on my birthday, small venue. I can’t wait.
I saw him open for Dave Mason a few years ago. That was a pretty good show.
