I’m seeing fewer posts here. Have things gotten better, or are people just tired of complaining?

15 second delay on posting, then a 504 error after another 60 seconds.
no real point in complaining since it’s pretty clear nothing is being done to fix the problem.
Hard to know for sure. I can say things have gotten better for me, personally. Board has seemed back to normal for about the past week or so.
What I find strange is that the 502s and 504s are supposed to be (I thought) strictly server-side … so if they are still going on, all user should be experiencing them at about the same rate. But it seems clear that almost all SDMB users have stopped experiencing those errors. So how can a server-side error present itself to only a select few board users?

If the problem seems to be not getting fixed … it may well just be that the problem has been seen as almost totally disappearing. Hard to fix a problem that you can’t replicate. Alternatively: the fix worked for the most part, but left some small group of users behind somehow.
Rate of error matters, too.
Those of you still seeing the 502s/504s … are you seeing them constantly, or only once or twice a day? And how long are you on the boards per day, on average?
Ha! I just got a 502. Serves me right, I guess.
But really … I just hit the back button and re-click where I wanted to go. Not super-convenient, but far from a show-stopper. But like I wrote … rate matters. If I were getting these every few clicks, then yeah – the board will be unusable.
I said once before that it could have something to do with user authentication. That’s all I can think of.
I’ve gotten server timeouts all day today, maybe 6-8 times.

I’ve suffered a flurry of these over the past 30 minutes, including trying to post this.

I just wait a bit and then hit refresh. I don’t usually bother to post about it unless it’s happening frequently. I’ve usually got a batch of pages going at once, so I’ll just read one of the others in the meantime – or do something I actually ought to be doing.
I haven’t had any that I can think of in the last couple of days.
Seriously, what the fuck?
It’s been happening constantly, and hitting the back button or refresh is the last thing I want to do while struggling to fix all the autocorrect errors while writing posts on my tablet.
My annoyance level with this is rapidly growing.
Exactly what pissed me off a couple minutes ago.
If I ran/owned this site I would be very embarrassed how bad it runs. But I guess the owner doesn’t care.
I’m still getting them, and I suspect most users are too.
You really shouldn’t ascribe motive to the owner of anything, especially something in the corporate world.
This is always a negative kind of observation: No one ever says “Oh, this site works great, the owner must really love us.” 
It’s not personal at all. That doesn’t mean the owner wants you to suffer or is indifferent to the experience you’re having. It means there are difficulties here that have not yet been surmounted.
Things have not been great lately. The situation is being looked at and worked on. Your patience is sorely tried, I know, but I’m asking you to hang in there.
