I have to start running in earnest now so I need some advice. Since the birth fo my child and some extra weight some parts of me are more “filled out” then they used to be. I need a great sports bra that will alleviate my discomfort and cancel the need for doubling up.
I heard good things about Champion brand, and Sears carries this one -
Champion is great if you can find it in the right size. I, unfortunately, have never been able to find more than one at a time in the size I need and they don’t last long. But I am a 32G which is a pretty impossible size except at specialty shops. Currently I have this one, which is great comfortable support–but it took two months to get it. However, it seems to be holding up (and I mean that in all senses of the phrase) better than the Champions so it may have been worth it.
When my husband started running a couple of years ago, I flat out refused to join him, because I couldn’t find a bra that would support me the way I wanted to.
But I really did want to join him on some runs, so I searched and searched, and ended up ordering this bra by Enell through Title Nine’s catalogue. They deemed it their one and only ‘5 barbell’ bra. Perfection, finally!
It’s the sports bra I never knew existed. And I am now able to run without the discomfort of bouncing even a little bit. You will not budge in it.
It’s not attractive, but it keeps the girls in place, which is all I care about.
Weeerie. I have the same one. I love it to pieces; though mine are only 34D, every other sports bra left me feeling like my boobs were flying around. With my Enell, it’s like they’re cemented in place, in a good way. Of course, my jogging buddy gets her cute like A-cups into a cute little lululemon top and has no worries, but their crap is overpriced anyway, so I don’t care that mine looks like a granny bra. Take THAT, boob-bounce!
Much like a kitty thread required photographic proff of cuteness, I think we are going to need pictures to confirm or deny the claims of largebreastedness made in this thread.
I think I will try the champion (just because with added shipping the other two will run me somewhere around 80.00 USD and I am just starting back to work).
Thanks for the advice though, I had heard of the Enell one
I love this Lunaire sports bra. Normally I do not like underwires, since I’ve had reconstructive breast surgery on one side. But this is a very comfortable bra, with excellent support and " breathability."
No kidding. I’d tried so many brands and styles in the $20-$40 range, never really wanting to spend more than that on a sports bra. I did end up spending close to $80 or $90 on mine, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat, it’s so worth it. I spend that much or more on my sneakers every 4 or 5 months, and I consider my lovely lady lumps just about as important as my tootsies.
At least this item has lasted me over 2 years now and is still going strong. And keeping the boobies up where they should be and pain-free? Priceless!
