Many years ago, I was walking along and came upon a factory painted Harley Sportser that was gloss black and had its Harley decal in burnt orange, with a nice deep lacquer (sp?) coating going over both colors and the whole tank (of course).
I found this particular color combination to be thoroughly mesmerizing and for 20 minutes I couldn’t take my eyes off it.
This amazing color combination, I suspect, might be rooted in my days as a young child during fall and Halloween, as that’s my favorite time of the year, plus, I recall that many of us little kids had lunch pales with fall/Halloween depictions on them. Also, many Halloween parties were going on that used said combination as their central themes. (The mask were way cool!)
These days I remain smitten with burnt-orange on gloss black (or visa versa:-), and were it ever to happen that I should come into a lot of dough to allow it to happen, I’d even seriously consider moving way over to the beautiful state of Maine so as to situate myself into what I would regard as a “hauntingly beautiful set up” with me living in a classic Victoria house (or maybe a Frank-Lloyd Wright one) that would overlook the mysterious deep, black Atlantic ocean … with the ambience of it all reaching its zenith on October 31st!
I guess the only thing more that I could ask for than all of that would be for some beautiful and mysterious gal with a strong hint of vamperishness to enjoy inhaling it all in with.
It would be so wonderful!!!
My question for you smart and friendly Dopers is, can you relate to my curious little fetish regarding said color combination … along with how it causes me to flow towards a fuller enrichment with the living situation of sharing a beautiful home above rocky cliffs with crashing waves below and candles… and dark skies and gothic music…pouring in from all directions …and bottles of fine wine … and the smell of the clean sea air rolling in from hundreds of miles away?
Thanks for indulging this old boy, All! And as always, I thank you in advance for any and all kind replies!
Note to Mod: Sorry if I (again) posted this in the wrong place, practice makes perfect, right?:o
