Since MountainDope has been postponed until July, GingerByTheBay and I thought we’d throw a “Meet Ginger” Dopefest on June 8th instead. Md, DC, NOVA and Pa dopers, please come on out to historic havre de Grace, Md. to welcome GingerOfTheNorth and her buglet to the states.
Like Jonathan, we live in a home with quite a bit of land around it, so bring the kids if you want, there is plenty of space for them to run and play. I figured that I would get hamburgers and hot dogs for grilling, and have everyone who’s coming bring stuff like buns, side dishes, drinks, etc…( It’s expensive to move to another country! I can’t afford to throw a full ride dopefest for a while yet! ) I hope all of you who were planning on going to MountainDope can come down here instead. Call it…oh…BayDope, the water’s only a 5 minute walk away.
Hama, there’s TONS of room for camping right in our yard. Dave wasn’t kidding when he said lots of room. We may also have sleeping room in the house, and a big front porch for sleeping under the stars-ish.
I don’t want you to attend if you’re going to say things like “terribly keen”. It would just frighten the children. Do you think you could refrain for the day? Please?

Sorry Dave and Ginger. I’ll be missing for the same reason I had to miss MountainDope… A slew of relatives I haven’t seen in many years are descending on Newark. 'Tis the occaision of epeepunk getting his professional degree in architecture, and I won’t be missing that, nor the siblings, nor the party that will surround the event.
