Good times, good times. Many thanks to Dave and Ginger for the wonderfullness of their hospitality. Of course, I’m now in traction as a result of pun’s hug, but I’m sure that will fade in time.
Oh, yeah, sure, knock the guy who had energy enough to keep up with the kids for stints as long as five minutes:)
And jayjay, there was a nice long time where I practiced my sitting. I practiced it real good. For a while. You just missed yer chance:)
It was lovely to meet those of y’al I haven’t met, including but not restricted to FairyChatDad, Mrs. Tranq and Tranqid, jayjay, and Tark and the Hamakids. And seeing those familiar faces (Weirddave, I think there are a combined five dopefests in this area since June 2000 that one of us hasn’t been to…) was lovely as well:)

My little girl especially loved the Tarklings. She slept-in past 9 am this morning, she was so worn out from running around with them. Unheard-of!
I had a very good time, and I certainly can’t complain about the hospitality.
The Numpty of the North and Weirddave were very excellent hosts, and it was good to finally meet Ginger in person.
And, of course, seeing the Bluesclan and Geobabe is always a pleasure.
And to everyone else, I’ll see you all in October, hopefully.

I’m hot and sweaty. I haven’t showered since Friday.
Traffic on the way home sucked ass for no apparent reason. Stop-and-go with no accidents or ongoing contruction…WTF?
My back and Tark’s back feel like elephants have been standing on them.
Frankie and Jack both came home with band-aids on.
I feel like I could sleep for 15 hours…BUT…we have a first-grade party to be at in 20 minutes.
After having arrived home 20 minutes ago.
Oh yeah, and we got LOST on the way there because it was the middle of the night and the directions were easily misconstrued.
That having been said…
Had a fantastic time. Wonderful to meet Gingy (finally), and she didn’t bash my head in even when I kept getting distracted by sparkley things in the dollar store and deliberately wore a gigantic green turban in the Sav-A-Lot.
Great to again see hte folks I’d met, and meet the folks I hadn’t. Glad the Hamakids were an asset rather than a big pile of rampant suck.
I have to go now so we can drive to this goddamned party full of tiny screaming kids.
Oh, and THERE IS PROOF…I do have this big family, a bunch of people met them. So nyah nyah.
Well, sure, Hammy, we all met them, but they were well-behaved and mostly fairly quiet around us, so when you start COMPLAINING THAT THE KIDS ARE ACTING LIKE THEY’RE BEING PAID TO MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL…well, it’ll be more difficult for me to believe, having met 'em;)
