Went back to bed and napped for a couple of hours and felt a lot better so came through to the kitchen thinking i might try a piece of toast to find mr ems cooking bacon and the smell is making me want to throw up again. Bleurgh.
He is the best husband ever though - he has finished all the unpacking I hadn’t done and folded all the laundry and put away the suitcases and been to the grocery store this morning. And brought me some flowers. And told me I look pretty even though I have seen myself I the mirror today. Best. Husband. Ever.

I think I’m getting Teh Sick. Sinuses have been runny for a couple of days, but now have turned up the volume and my throat is getting sore. :grumble: Anyone wanna snog?
I was awake at 11:45 last night and I don’t remember after that until the dog woke me at 4 something.
I had my doggie bag from dead lobster for N.O.L.
I wasn’t impressed with the food. I like my shrimp a little less translucent. However, their doggie bags are microwave safe so a little nuke uncleared that up.
2013 has to be better than 2012, right?
Do resolutions start today or can they wait until tomorrow?
We spent about 3 anna half hours at the office and got some good work done. Then we ran by Food Lion for a few things and came home for a late lunch of turkey sammiches. It’s a lazy afternoon. I need to wash a load of knitted stuff to get rid of critter hair and critter spit. Then I’ll bag it up to go to my mom’s.
I’m working on a pink afghan right now - it’s slow going, but it’s a pretty pattern - I’ve made it twice before. I think I’ll assume the position after I start the washer. Good times!

I’ve made up a bunch of potstickers to go into the freezer. Have started the sauerkraut (with apples, onion and cider). Took apart a pomegranate for the fruit salad. Am about ready to make the mashed potatoes and pork chops that will be dinner.
Corned beef is out of the pot and resting before we commence to eatin’. In the interest of quality assurance, I cut a piece off one end and it was Teh Num.
My throat isn’t quite as sore, but now I’m coughing up lung oysters. Bronchitis will not make for a fun week. :mad:

Knitted items are washed, softened, dried, and packed up for whenever I get up to Mom’s next. I had an afghan, a lap robe, a shawl, and 7 hats! The bag is full, and I’m working on the next bagful. Does keeping my fingers limber with knitting and crocheting help make me safer against arthritis? I like to think I’m getting a personal bonus for doing good deeds.
