I watched a few videos on YouTube and I got some good ideas for things to make. I think I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow!
I cleaned, rollsucked the foot fabric, took out the recycling, and napped. There was a big crack of thunder, but no rain. The temp did drop 10 degrees and the humidity disappeared, so that is nice.
They frighten Gordie.
I took my Sub in for an overhaul. The crown came off when I tried to set the time sometime when we were still on PST. And I can’t turn the bezel. Should get it back in 6-8 weeks.
Salmon with garlic/pesto butter, and buttered green beans for dinner tonight… when ever I get around to it. (It’s only a quahtah to fo’ right now.)
I actually kind of love that! If I saw it at an arts fair, it’s something I’d buy and put on my desk.
Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, hosted snack time (guess that’s as good of a name as any), got everything put away after that, and went through the drive thru at KFC due to a gnawin’ and a cravin’ on the part of OYKW which we took back to da cave and et. Then a sour cream pouind cake and some homemade peach ice cream got made. YUM! There shall be cake and ice cream over the next few days. I used my Cuisinart (sp?) ice cream maker which makes two quarts of ice cream. Fun little appliance that is even though it is a little bit of a chore to cleanup. Oh and the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can got hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. No rain yet, but the evenin’ is young.
Howdy. Watched the Euro Soccer championship in the midst of a thunderstorm, so service was somewhat erratic (I have Direst TV). Got to penalty kicks and just as we were getting to the final, climatic kick…there is a loud CRASH and the TV goes out completely. So that made me grumpy… Still raining outside, may get some more tunder-boomers later, we’ll see. Need to get some dinner or a reasonable facisimile here soon.
Bumba, you get a Merit Badge for repairing your shredder. I have more than a few magazines that could use recycling (except my National Geographics…nobody touches my NG’s!!), just haven’t the need to dump them yet.
OK, need to forage. All y’all have a good evening and I’ll catch you on the new MMP on Moanday (after my dentist appointment…)
Just had a Tortoiseshell Hazy IPA from Beach Cat Brewing Co. ‘When you need a beer right meow.’
I bought a four-pack o’ pints on the 4th of July, and now there are two left.
I started making another - the “tape” didn’t work out right but I think I know how to fix it. If it works, maybe we can meet up and I’ll present it to you.
Tomorrow, I’m going back to the thrift store looking for some things I can use based on the videos I watched today. I’m inspired!!
Sounds tasty. I went with a Boulevardier tonight.
thats cool id love to have a can … id never open it tho
I could send you a can. But I’d have to empty it first so as to save on shipping.
“contents may evaporate during shipping”
I thought the basil pesto butter salmon was three servings. The linked page says it’s eight servings. How do you cut that up without a calculator?
I walked to the grocery sto’, as I was out of a few things I need to have before I leave. If sweating were an olympic sport, I’d have medaled–probably a silver, which would mean standing behind some Canadian who took a trip to Vegas and singing, “Oh! Canada.” I happen to know the words, and it’s way easier to sing than the Star Spangled Banner, not to mention that it’s not one long question, so there’s that. Also talked to my daughter. It’s my son’s wedding anniversary, so he and I put off the call until tomorrow because…y’know…he might prefer to celebrate it with the love of his life.
How come every time I scratch off one item on the Tah-Dah list, another one pops up on the To Do list?
swampy, it’s been a dream of mine since childhood to make homemade peach ice cream. I hope you savored every lick.
nut, looks like you got your wish, since Italy won. However, you’ll probably hear lots of grumbling, since the win hinged on penalties. My Italian heritage (Mom) is snerking, while my English heritage (Dad, mostly Cornwall) is grumbling. It’s Gene Tunney all over again.
All my Irish and Scottish friends are giggling hysterically.
I was unclear.
They’re staying in Grand Rapids, a solid half-hour from here (the way I drive) or an hour away (the way my dad drives) and although my mother has a dehydrator at home, this trip they flew (instead of driving across the country with all her supplies) so the woman ordered another dehydrator to be shipped to my address, so she can use it while she’s here.
They stopped by last night, just to pick up the dehydrator to take back to their hotel. I told them I’d had a long day & was tired, but my mother acted like … I dunno, she was being super weird.
I had a drink after work/before parental arrival, and I think she smelled it on me. (Oh noes!)
At least my dad seemed happy to see me, for the pure sake of seeing me. (It’s been a solid year since we’ve been around each other.) It was nice to hug him & chat a bit.
It has already been confirmed that, when they fly back home, I have acquired a dehydrator. Plus whatever other crap she bought instead of waiting two whole days for me to have time off work to wash some dishes.
The woman is serious about her damn fruit.
She also brought me some random PJs (I think the shorts have pockets! ) and some new toys for Monkey. I’ve made a point of gushing over how much he likes the knitted mousies she made for him - in all honesty, he went nuts for them.
