Let me introduce you to the Free Republic Right Wing circle-jerk. If it isn’t ACORN that stole the election, according to them, then it’s William Ayers, Reverend Wright or possibly the president of Kenya that’s to blame.
What you’re really illustrating is the left-wing circle jerk. Where you can say nasty things about right wingers and no one will pick at whether the details of what you’re saying have any connection to reality - as long as it vaguely points in the general direction that you feel comfortable with ideologically.
RWers have a lot of nasty things to say about Ayers and Wright but no one has accused them of stealing the election. But it’s all the same to you. Just throw out the term “right wing” and claim they’re hysterical about Ayers or Wright and who cares what it is you’ve actually claimed, from the perspective of another left winger? Yeah, yeah, pile it on, it’s all true. Those crazy evil right wingers.
Perhaps you are, round these parts we don’t mock the inerrant word of God by employing it lightly.
I could start one concerning the 2004 election, which I do agree that (a) some liberals think was stolen, and (b) is a good example of idiocy.
The 2000 election is a closer question. I don’t think anyone can fairly say it was stolen, but the simple fact is that it came down to one state, and a tiny margin of ballots in that state. The 2000 election totals in Florida were within the margin of error for that state. In the end, the law was followed, and nothing was “stolen,” but it’s a far cry from asserting that the outcome was so obvious that not seeing it makes one an idiot.
Does anyone know the actual wording of the poll question from the OP?
I’m pretty interested to see how they got that 52%.
For what it’s worth, Public Policy Polling does not appear to be a highly credible organization. Nearly all their clients are Carolina local officials and they are all Democrats as far as I can tell.
Oh, you want details?
Knock yourself out. Read any 3 or 4 random threads at that shitbox site tell me I’m just being hysterical and making up nasty things about right-wingers.
In fact, here, let me narrow it down for you: Freep ACORN search
Well, in fairness to Fungi, I don’t think even FR posters are complaining about William Ayers stealing the election.
That’s not the claim you’re making here. You’re saying that they believe Ayers & Wright stole the election for Obama.
The context, again, is that I find it very hard to believe that one of every nine liberals believes that ACORN stole the election for Obama, in part because virtually no one (if anyone at all) has made this claim.
Also … I just remembered that Fotheringay-Phipps doesn’t have a sense of humor, so no, you’re not going to find a cite anywhere claiming the president of Kenya stole the election for Barack Obama either.
So what’s your point. Just a random unrelated comment about how crazy right wingers are? Pardon me if I failed to realize you were in a private stream-of-consciousness. I thought you were making some actual point about what you were quoting.
Not one single word of truth anywhere in that.
My point is that right-wingers, such as the ilk at Freep, regularly claim that ACORN helped steal the election for Obama. But congratulations on hoisting me on my President of Kenya canard, Perry Mason.
“I’m going to pray for Obama - that he’s killed suddenly and his children become orphans.”
One of these things is not like the other…
Not to mention the fact the George Tenant had a report about Zacharius Moussawi’s (I may have got this spelling wrong) arrest by the FBI within a week. Remember him? He’s the guy who tried to take flying lessons but didn’t need to learn how to land.
Clearly, people within the bureaucracy understood the import of this, and pushed it up to the highest levels for action. Unfortunately, the highest levels did nothing.
But that’s not a point that you even attempted to back up, let alone done so.
Which demonstrates yet again, the truth of my first post. For people of your mindset, any and all allegations againt RWers are all one hazy mush.
I can see why you hang out at FR. Same mindset, just the details are a bit different.
[Although FTR, it’s possible that FR are a lot more rational than JB. I don’t have any experience with the place and am going by what I read here.]
You can lead a horticulture …
52 percent of Republicans think that ACORN stole the election. You’re wrong if you want to say most Republicans are rational. Most are idiots. (Assuming one must be an idiot to be so willfully uninformed to think that ACORN did anything of the sort).
If the majority of a party is irrational, it’s probably okay to describe them as such. The majority of Democrats are pro choice, so you reasonably call them the pro-choice party. The majority of Republicans think ACORN stole the election for Obama, so you can reasonably call them the drooling moron party.
An honest person would admit that their argument was a completely reflexive defense triggered by ideology. But I’m guessing you’re not gonna sweat the trivialities like honesty and logic in the defense of your team. Rah Rah.
