Road Trip! - An Automotive MMP

I want to talk you out of it. But I also want Italian food from a place where actual Italians live.

you mean NYC?

Just the general area. We discovered upon moving to Maine that Italian food in the tri-state area is very different from northern New England.

As an example: what do you consider to be the main ingredient in a calzone? Did you say ricotta? Because they don’t do that here. (Except for one “New York Style” place that is probably owned by transplants - everybody else looks at you like you’re crazy when you ask if they put ricotta in their calzones.)

Well, Boston is a lot closer to you than NYC. There are enough real Italians in Boston to properly put ricotta in a calzone. Obviously, you need a road trip.

They said I didn’t sound fabulous enough. Dammit. :stuck_out_tongue:

But in a nice conference call with 2 nice reps, I got my accounts all straightened out, so to speak. The old company will be mailing me a check that I need to mail to the new company. I don’t understand why it can’t be wired directly, but whatever.

Now I need to review what funds my money is sitting in and determine if I should move some around. I want to be as conservative as possible since I’ll be needing that money soon.

Anyway, back to work with me.

Calzones?
:dubious:

Happy Toosday!

It’s a cloudy 74 degrees. Supposed to get up to 82 but if it’s not there now it probably never will be.

I woke up at 4am and couldn’t get back to sleep, so I stayed up and went and got my blood test. The one the doctor ordered two weeks ago.
Since Sah-son is into playing Pokemon Go, he went with me - one way to get him out of the house. We stopped off to wash the truck on the way home.
Sah-son learned a lesson about car washes, you don’t let the money run out. He did, after soaping up the truck for a second time, and then didn’t have enough money to start the wash back up and rinse the truck.
So we drove home with a soapy truck and he had to rinse it when we got back, using buckets because the hose doesn’t reach that far.
I offered to drive up into the yard but he wanted to do it the hard way.

We got breakfast at TacoHell. I didn’t know they served breakfast, at least he liked his. Mine was pretty tasteless.
Then I took a nap…

Now I’m finishing up lunch, and time to get to irk.

FCM my old tablet would get stuck that way. I think I had to push the power button at the same time as the volume button. Like Rosie said, there should be instructions online.

On my way to do something that’s either of deep and yet not understood spiritual significance or just crazy. Either way, it’s something where I woke up a few days ago and the voices in my head unanimously shouted “I need a ______!!!”

How’s that for “vaguebooking?”

If there are calzones in your calzoni, you are doing it wrong.

I don’t know. Sounds kind of meta and a bit yum, and as long as there’s ricotta, what’s the problem?

What are you doing posting here? Given you’re 1) on vacation 2) with hockey fans I didn’t think you’d be, ahem, available to post

Suffolk PD must be VERY efficient in their processing. :stuck_out_tongue:

Intermission. I was waiting for the Zamboni to finish resurfacing the ice. Or for Bob the drive golfcart into the pool again. same thing.

Home, still with the camper. The lady who was interested was a short little thing - there’s no way she could have put it up herself, and she doesn’t have a regular camping buddy. I emailed the other 2 people who had asked about it to let them know it’s still available. I think I’ll put it on CL in Baltimore, Annapolis, and DC, too. Why not?

**FCD **wanted Taco Bell for supper and I decided I wanted Chinese. Conveniently, both places are on the same corner in Leonardtown. And I’ve got enough left over for lunch tomorrow - yay!!

Early bedtime tonight for sure. And now, off to figure out if I can do anything with my tablet.

I’ve been fairly non-productive this afternoon except for makin’ dindin. I can do that now. Be non-productive in the afternoon that is. Rainy off and on all day as well.

sunny I know you’re travelin’ as I post but be safe.

There is a Pizza place in Providence that you have to specifically tell them you want mozzarella on your pizza. Just another thing weird about Rhode Island.

None of the suggestions from the Samsung site have resurrected the tablet. I’m not sure if it’s worth it to take it somewhere for repairs… It’s just a toy - we don’t use it for anything significant.

Always something…

So what do you control your drone with?

I’ve begun hanging crap on the walls, which is a sign that I’m almost done unpacking. Yay!

Oh, you came so close there! But no, not a tattoo.
