Rush Limbaugh Has Lung Cancer

One side is being better than the other. You (and many other conservatives) are deliberately tut-tutting about this solely to try to promote a false equivalence. Just because conservatives get as upset about being rationally criticized by a Hillary Clinton as liberals get about being maliciously slandered by a Rush Limbaugh doesn’t mean that the two experiences are actually comparable in any meaningful way.

Moreover, the worst thing that any liberal’s ever said about Limbaugh would pale in comparison to the vituperation he’ll get from conservatives if he has some kind of deathbed repentance and expresses any remorse for all the lies and slander he’s spread. I don’t expect that to happen, but if it does, watch out for him to get a dose of “traitor treatment” from outraged conservatives that will make Mitt Romney’s current excommunication process look like a friendly handshake.

I’m surprised this hasn’t been moved to the Pit. So much bile and anger, and I suspect most of it came from learning about Rush Limbaugh from the media and not firsthand.
Good to know that your opinions don’t matter to him, and he won’t be hurt by your hatred. You probably will, though, and that’s as sad as cancer.

Well, that’s what Limbaugh deliberately chose to base his career on: unrelenting bile and anger. Neither Limbaugh nor his fans should be surprised that a lot of people have vociferous contempt for him as a result.

I personally don’t wish Limbaugh an unpleasant or untimely death or physical suffering of any kind. But the fact of his having cancer doesn’t magically make him a decent human being, nor does it obligate the people talking about him to ignore all the horrible things he’s done.

Want to know how he feels about you and other women?

“The sexual harassment crowd, they’re out there protesting what they actually wish would happen to them.”

“Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society.”

“If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex, we want you to post the videos online so we can all watch.”

What a champ!

Actually, quite the opposite: he thrives on it. No such thing as bad attention.

And how unkind of us to say all those nasty things about Hitler too. After all, one shouldn’t speak ill of the dead.

Not to defend Rush’s maligning of Chelsea, but this isn’t exactly the way it happened. On his radio program he did make snarky remarks about her looks, although I don’t remember specifically what they were, but that’s irrelevant. It happened.

But the ‘dog’ incident happened on his TV program. He led in by saying, “Did you know there’s a cute kid in the White House?” At which point a pic of some generic dog appeared onscreen. I think this was before the Clintons got Buddy, so that’s why I think it was just a generic dog.

So. . . He didn’t call Chelsea ‘the White House dog.’ He called some generic dog ‘the cute kid in the White House’ in a back-handed snide comment about Chelsea.

There may have been two separate incidents (one from 1992 as you described, one from a newspaper article in 1993, ), but it seems likely that the latter may have just been a rough paraphrase of the former.

Ddammitt! When I saw this thread pop back up I thought maybe he was dead already.

Thanks, YamatoTwinkie. I believe it is important that we be accurate in listing the sins of others, lest we be accused of “fake news”.

The various deities are fighting over who gets stuck with him for eternity.

Apparently they are not in any big rush …

Perhaps they can bus him between Hell and Limbo.

No Big Rush To Get Big Rush? I LOVE IT!

Same.

Me too.

Maybe a sympathetic mod could edit the thread title to include a parenthetical “still kicking”, and then when the good times roll change the parenthetical note to something like “ding dong”.

Fuck this guy. Um… since we’re supposed to be all nice and shit, I hope this cancer is no more and no less painful and virulent than it was for my mother (who died a month after diagnosis).

The coronavirus is particularly bad on people who are older or have pre-existing respiratory problems. So when it spreads in the US, Rush might get suitably poetic justice.

I feel empathy for the poor sad cancer cells that have to inhabit that humanoid landfill. That is as “all nice and shit” as I am capable of.
