GED=you didn’t finish high school to get a diploma, you simply took the test for a GED.
BA=I went to college. And earned a DEGREE.
(Actually, if they let this chick get her GED, I weep for the future of our American public education system!)
Sally baby, I think there’s something you may not understand - specifically that, on this message board, credentials don’t mean that much. Knowledge does. This is a place for those of us who are not national political figures to discuss and gain knowledge about politics, for those of us who are (sometimes) not doctors to discuss and gain knowledge about medicine, for those of us who are not auto mechanics to discuss and gain knowledge about that funny noise our car makes. We believe people who make sense and who can back up what they say with reliable sources, not just people who come in and start telling us what degrees they have or what positions they’ve held.
I don’t know if you really have only a GED, if you have “a whole bunch of peer reviewed publications”, or if you are in fact thirteen years old. What I do know is that you have yet to present any coherent arguments, at least that I’ve seen. Telling me you’re in the 7th grade is not going to make me think less of you, and telling me you have a PhD and have held major positions in the executive branch won’t make me think more of you. (though it’s likely to make me think less of your alma mater at this point…) But NOBODY is going to respect you unless you become significantly more coherent in the near future, and that would be sad. You certainly seem to enjoy posting here.

I’ve taught English Comp, and there’s a surprising number of functionally illiterate students who not only graduated from high school, but were told by their English teacher they were a marvelous writer and got A’s on everything they wrote (or so to hear them tell it).

Truthfully, I like posting here. It is really a fun MB. However, I don’t think my correspondence school for my GED would care too much what anyone here thinks. I also thought the Pit was going to challenge me … pretty tame.
